Vehicle Detail

1989 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc Z28 1989 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc Z28 Click image for larger picture Car Location: South East Mass This is a 1989 IROC Z28 with 99,010K miles. It has the original V8 engine, 700r4 automatic transmission with B&M shifter. This car currently does not run. When the previous owner bought it, it was a running car but after making some changes, the car would not start. The car has an alarm and may need to be disconnected or uninstalled to start. The VIN is 1G1FP2189KL106754. This car has a cool Iroc fiberglass hood with louvers, and T-Tops, along with rear disk brakes. Recent repairs include front rotors, pads and calipers, real calipers, pads and 12" rotors, fuel pump, sending unit, new rear brake lines, rear sway bar end links, new tranny mount, starter, alternator, theromstat, and aluminum radiator. The rear end is and Australian 9 bolt with 3:27 gears. I believe before the B&M shifter was put in, this car started, but after this, the car no longer starts. When turning the ignition key, the ignition lights come on, but when trying to start, it does not turn over. The security light comes on and goes out as expected, so I do not think this is a VATS security system issue. Likely an easy fix. Items on 24 hour constant power like head lights and power trunk work fine. This car comes with 4th gen Camaro front bucket seats, but needs rear seats, door panels and some other interior parts. The console & Shifter bezel are not secured down, but should be easy to correct. The factory radio is also present but not installed. The car will need a floor board installed on the front driver's side, as the floor rotted and much of it was removed. There are a couple of small holes smaller than a dime on the passenger side front floor that should be addressed. The car has original paint and decals, and has scratches, scuffs, imperfections, and some small areas in primer, as the pictures show. The drivers door has an area where rust has bubbled up under the paint. The hood struts hold the hood up well, but the rear hatch struts are on the weaker side. The doors close well on the car. This car would be great to fix up and cruise, or use as a parts car to restore yours. Failure of zero feedback bidders i emailing me may result in your bid being cancelled. Please do not bid until you have read all the description, viewed all the pictures. This will allow you to be fully acquainted with the z28. This car also is sold as is, without any warranty, stated or implied. If you are not 100% serious about buying this car, please do not bid! All questions should be asked before the bidding is over. Full payment is expected in seven days from the close of the auction. Vehicle released once check clears, which takes the bank about three days to confirm the funds are not fraudulent on out of state checks. No Nigerian scam artists - I know all your tricks, do not offer to send stupid payments of more than the car is selling for and ask for the change back, or to remit money to fake shipping companies. Don't waste your time. Prospective, serious bidders are welcome to see the car in person, and are asked to review the pictures and read all the information in the below thumbnails. The car is for sale locally, and if sold, the auction will be ended. Body - The body is intact, doors close well. Some rust bubbling under the paint on the drivers door. There are a couple of areas of primer on the body surface where there appears to have been some body work in the past. Tires - Will need at least two new front tires. Interior - The interior has 4th gen manual seats, but no carpet, door panels or rear seats. The factory shifter was swapped out for a B&M shifter. Console is present but not screwed securely. Some power switches on the console for the windows may be missing. Has a Grant GT steering wheel. Engine Bay - The car has the original 8 cyl motor and 700r4 auto trans. There is a new aluminum radiator, starter, alternator, t-stat, and trans mount. The motor does not run, but I think the car would run with some minor work, such as removal of the alarm, or reviewing the wiring. Trunk Compartment- had original T-Top bags. Undercarriage - Drivers front floor needs to be repaired or replaced. Front passenger floor has a couple of very small holes that should be addressed. The rest of the undercarriage frame and floors look very good. Has new rear brake lines, rear sway bar end links, new front and rear calipers, new front and rear rotors, and pads. My understanding is the rotors are aluminum. Some parts - radio, screws, owners manual.
