Vehicle Detail

All wheel drive is standard for Subaru. You don't have to set anything as in some vehicles. It's always in all wheel drive. It's great for drifted mailboxes and winter in general. Purchased in 2007 from a postal employee that got a clerk's job near Indy, -they had bought it in Iowa -and it was sold new in Wisconsin. The previous owner drove it from Iowa where they said a dealer had put in a new transmission. Driving it, I believe that to be true. It shifts very smoothly. We have had the brakes replaced, all new belts including timing, and new fuel tank and lines - all at the Subaru dealer in Ft Wayne. We also had all new fuel injectors installed by Import Doctor in Fort Wayne. Four new tires from Michel Tire. Tilt steering wheel with memory. Rear window defogger works all but 1 or 2 bars. 60/40 split fold down rear seat. Passenger seat lays flat onto rear seat so 5 trays of mail will fit on it. Tub fits on console. The console has a storage compartment. Body interior is very clean and smoke free, but exterior has serious rust around all four wheel wells and hatch. Starts and drives great. The air conditioning works very well without us having to fix it or ever recharge it. We have been really testing it in this 90's degree heat and still cools well. It seems air conditioners either work or they don't This one works. The heater and defroster have kept up with ice and snow storms. I delivered a large mail (K) route as a sub. Car off, lights off feature. Power side mirrors fold in to get close to unevenly spaced mailboxes. Original sale bill. Because of my age and a compound fracture I was fired at one year, which has nothing to do with the car. My supervisor wanted me to sell it to another postal worker in our office. But, I liked it so well, I couldn't sell it- until we purchased a newer Subaru. No air bags, but seat belts all around. Tail lights, head lights, including brights all work, and were replaced so shouldn't burn out too soon. AM/FM radio works as do the front speakers. There is a trunk under the cargo area which holds the spare tire and tools which came from Subaru. Turn signal & lights are on right of steering wheel. Windshield wipers, washer on left. Has intermittent feature. You can also pull for just one wiper swipe. No cruise control, but steers and drives true, with NO pulling at all on steering or braking. One picture shows these controls and the tachometer. There is also a trip odometer. A pull out cup holder is above the radio. The cigarette lighter always worked for my rooftop flasher. We have always kept it licensed and insured. Once purchased and in possession of the title you will be responsible for insurance and plates. The U.S. Mail and FREQUENT STOPS were painted in latex enamel so they could be removed or updated as needed, depending whether the cars stays postal. I hope you enjoy this car as much as I have. Good Luck!
