If you are looking for a reliable car that gets great fuel mileage and the ability to run on Biodiesel or used veggie oil and you are stickler for condition and want good options, this may be the car you’ve been waiting for. It’s my 2002 Jetta GLS TDI with leather and automatic transmission. It’s in amazing condition and only has 81k miles on it. Read on for a full description. Mechanically this car is very sound. 1.9L TDI turbo diesel engine starts up very smoothly with no hesitation or smoke. It is the original style and very reliable injection pump engine, which is known for 500k+ of problem free mileage (normal maintenance required). The transmission shifts very well and the car drives great. I just had this through stringent PA state inspection. The front brakes look new, all other components passed with flying colors and the tires are about 7/32 the whole way around. A/c blows ice cold and all the options are working correctly. Solid car, I would put my wife and two kids in it and send anywhere they needed to go. Cosmetically this car is well above average for a 9-year-old car. Yes, it has a stone chip or two and a light small scratch here and there but other than that it’s amazing. Clean straight and shiny all original paint. Very well cared for. VW logo pinstripe to match the interior color. All glass and lenses are in good shape without damage. The interior is the same way. Clean and well cared for. No foul odors or issues inside. The leather, carpets and headliner are all in good condition. I have one master key fob and one valet key and all the owners’ manuals to go with.
