Against my will, I am selling my awesome 1973 GMC step van / panel truck. This truck was used in a private first aid company's fleet, and it was very well maintained by them. It has a rebuilt 350 V8 with 4000 miles on a rebuild, and a manual transmission. It has a dual wheel rear end, and it has a very heavy duty suspension. It is showing minor rust on the hood, but nothing a quick fix and a vinyl wrap or custom paint job couldn't handle. The odometer reads 45,000 miles, my bet would be 145,000 on the truck. It runs great and turns heads like crazy! I am requiring that this vehicle be paid for in full and picked up within three days of the auction's close. If you do not have the money for it or do not have the time to pick it up ---- do not bid!! The van is still equipped with the ambulance light bar, P/A system, strobe light, ditch lights, flashers, trailer hitch / custom rear step bumper, organ cooler (!), running water with a holding tank, pump, sink, and more. I was going to convert this to an RV / tailgate / advertising beast, but I can no longer keep it, so my loss is your gain! This truck would make an amazing food truck -- it features the heavy duty suspension for ease of load handling, and it is only 20 feet long -- it can be parked in a regular parking spot! The box length of this beauty is 12 feet - what a great mobile kitchen this step van would make! This could be set up to make easy money - think of how nice it will be to have a smaller, easier to navigate vehicle at a special event... This truck is ready to go -- it would be a great mobile mechanic or welder shop, motorcycle hauler, RV, catering truck -- I was going to use it for mobile advertising for my business - everyone loves it! This truck looks like it was used on the TV show Chips... All this truck needs to be 100% drivable is to have the alternator (which was recently rebuilt) wired correctly. The wiring system for the truck is a little beyond my ability... It was never equipped with air conditioning, to go ahead and answer that question now. It has a two battery electrical system with a switch. Message me if you have any more questions, and as I said before it runs, drives, and stops well, but it will need the alternator wired correctly.
