Vehicle Detail
his 1995 Fleetwood Brougham has 156,900 miles. It has all the bells & whistles you would expect on a Cadillac, and everything works as it should, including: - Automatic Climate Control - Rear Window Defrost - Anti-lock brakes with traction control - Power driver & passenger seats with 2-position memory seat on the driver's side - Power windows with driver express down and rear lockout - Power mirrors - Power trunk release with power pull-down - AM/FM 6-speaker stereo with CD player and tape deck and power antenna - Remote keyless entry with two working fobs - Retained accessory power (keeps radio, windows working up to 5 minutes after the key is turned off) - Automatic leveling rear suspension with air shocks - 260 hp LT1 engine - 8.5" rear axle with 2.93:1 ratio - In-tank engine oil cooler & separate transmission oil cooler From the time I bought it in December, I have replaced/repaired the following: -Transmission rebuilt by reputable shop. The rebuild included all-new seals, clutches and steels, torque converter, solenoids, boost valve, pump stator, an upgraded sun shell and is still under the remainder of a 12-month, 12,000 mile warranty. - New sway bar end links - New Monroe shocks, front & rear - New Raybestos front brake pads - Front wheel bearings repacked - Cooling system flush & refill - New idler arm & center link - New windshield - New windshield wipers - New rear U-joint - New Grade 8 exhaust manifold bolts - Front seats & B-pillars fully reupholstered The car does have some light hail damage on the hood, vinyl top and trunk. The hood and vinyl top have the majority of it. It also has door dings and scratches consistent with the age & mileage of the car. The previous owner parked the car outside. There's also one fair sized ding in the top of the right front quarter, right by the hood. It was probably caused by a limb or something falling on the car. However, there is no rust anywhere on the body. I've provided pictures to show that the usual trouble spots are all rust free. There is only typical surface rust on the frame and undercarriage. The right front fender spear has a piece knocked out of it near the front. The rear passenger door trim at the window sill plate is peeling. I have supplied pictures of these blemishes. In the interior, the dash pad is cracked, which is common on these cars. I have installed a dash cover over it. There is also a small crack in the driver's side door armrest, and some hairline cracks in the leather steering wheel and on the front center console. The tires have about 25% tread remaining and one is a blackwall instead of a whitewall. The car is a really nice 10-footer, I just want be open and honest about the flaws, which makes it sound worse than it really is. The Dark Cherry Metallic paint still shines right up and looks good. This color was one of three used on the 1995 & 1996 Impala SS, and looks great. The pictures don't do the color justice. This Cadillac is great to drive. It is based on the Caprice/Impala SS/Roadmaster platform, just with 6" longer wheelbase. I've owned half a dozen Caprices and Fleetwoods and I find the Fleetwoods to be much nicer automobiles. The fit and finish is better and there is much more sound deadening. I would put these cars up against most any new car in terms of cabin noise when driving. They are QUIET inside. The seats are also more comfortable, and the rear legroom is equal to the front, meaning 4 - 6 adults will actually fit inside this car. I would keep this car and drive it every day, but I have two and want to start another project, so this car must go. Missouri buyers will get a valid state safety inspection.
