Up for sale is a 1965 Pontiac 2+2. As you can see from the photos this car was damaged in a garage fire. This car was going to be my restoration project, but I do not have the time or money to see this through. This is only a two owner car, my father bought this car used in 1967 and has owned it ever since. This car was a daily driver all the way into the 80's when it was parked in a barn to be a restoration project. This car is all original, it contains the original 421 4 bbl engine and transmission that came from the factory. This car was in driving condition until November 2010 when a fire burned the building that this car was parked in. The fire did the most damage to the interior of the car and of course breaking all of the glass. The engine compartment appears to have been spared as not even a hose appears to be distorted from heat. Although I have been unable to start the engine since the fire, due to burned wiring and such, I have no reason to believe that the engine or transmission has been damaged in any way. This car would make a great project, very few 2+2's remain and to have the original engine and tranny intact is almost unheard of. Please ask questions before bidding. This car will have to be picked up by the winning bidder. I do not offer any type of delivery and buyer is responsible for any expenses relating to picking up the car.
