This jeep has spent most of its life in the Garage. Used as a daily driver to work on the snow days during the winter. No wonder it only has 55,474 ACTUAL miles. The title reflects that the miles on this jeep are actual and the speedometer has not rolled over. With a V8 304 and Quadratrac 400 this is a full time 4-wheel drive jeep. On the interstate running 65-70 mph you will get around 16 mpg. Smooth driving on the interstate and the hardtop makes it a comfortable drive during the winter months. Not to mention that the automatic transmission makes it an easy drive. This has not been used as an off-road jeep. It has spent most of its drive time on the interstate but does have the stock lockers. With the turn of a vacuum switch under the glove box the limited slip hubs lock and all four wheels lock into positive trac. The body is in good shape for a 79’ model. This jeep was partially restored 3 years ago. The paint is a metallic flaked green. There are spots where some rust is starting to bubble underneath the paint. You can see the areas in the photos. The worst would be on the front right fender. Steel is sound. Cosmetic only. All in all the paint is good. The floorpans and tub are great. The frame is solid and the body mounts are solid in great shape. Engine is very strong. The automatic choke works great and warms up on its own during the winter. Lights all work. High and low beams. Blinkers work as well as marker lights. The passenger windshield wiper needs replaced but the drivers works great. All gauges work with the temp as the exception. The seats were replaced a couple years ago and they are solid. Seat belts need replaced. Seats are anchored firmly and the seat covers are new. They could use some cleaning up where they are mounted but all in all make great seats. The fiberglass top is in great shape. All the windows are solid and works great. The steel doors work great and the windows are solid and roll up and down no problem. The handle on the passenger door needs replaced. Steel is sound and in great shape. Notice in the pictures I arranged them with alternating pictures of the top being on and top off. Tires were new in the fall. 31x10.5 Maxxis Bighorn. All four matching and show little wear. All in all this is a great daily driving jeep. It handles well on the interstate, will handle any amount of off-roading you were interested in, great in the winter with the hard-top, fun in the summer with the top off, mechanically sound and is not a project jeep. I have a truck and flatbed trailer and will deliver this jeep to you for $3.00 a mile from zip code 24136. If you live within 300 miles or so I can also drive the jeep to you for $2.50 a mile.
