I had three of these Wagoneers up until last month, when I sold my 1982 on Ebay. I'm reducing my collection. This is my 1987 Wagoneer, and is the first one I purchased. It was bought new from Haynes Jeep in Richmond, and has always been a Virginia truck, meaning very little rust. The floors, frame and body are solid, with the exception of one small spot on the rear quarter. The paint is the original silver, but is faded. The wood grain is still in good shape for the age. I drove this on a 100 mile roundtrip this past weekend. The trucks runs well. I had a compression test done on it last month and it has good compression in all cylinders. The transmission shifts smoothly. Recent mechanical work includes: Complete Tune up, including plugs, wires, cap and rotor. New starter, EGR Valve and carb. Fresh oil change. This truck is worthy of a new paint job. It has some dents and scrapes, but nothing major. Or drive it as is. It passed a rigorous Virginia state inspection in Febrouary and is good until 2/28/2012. The dash has no cracks. One split in the leather on the driver seat. Rear seat is in good shape. All carpet is nice. Rear window does not work. Riight side mirror has a crack. Headliner is good.
