1970 Mustang Mach 1 , I purchased this car over 16 yrs ago, it has only had two owners in the last 31 yrs. First let me provide some basic information about this car. 351 Cleveland M Code 4 Barrell, FMX Automatic Tranny, 3.0 rear end, is 1 0f 867 Black 70 Mach 1s, built 10/6/69, sold 10/28/69 to customer of Beverly Hills Ford, Beverly Hills, CA with the following options. I attached the Marti Report. Please see the Marti Report for the options this car has. This was a HIGHLY optioned car. When I purchased the car 16 yrs ago it was in very good condition but we did some rust repair but not major by any means. Partial floor replacement, welded in metal into one fender, one door and a little quarter repair. The car had the incorrect engine in it, I purchased a 72 Cleveland 4 Barrel Cobra Jet engine with 4 bolt mains. I had that engine fully rebuilt by a former Ford Mechanic from the 60s. It had all new internals and I spent over 2500 on this engine plus the closed chamber heads were rebuilt back to factory specs and rebuilt to be run on lower octane gasoline. The engine compartment has been stripped and back to new like condition, I always used NOS parts when needed. The battery apron was NOS. It has been painted and detailed and looks very nice. Almost all the front suspension has been replaced with new and refurbished. It looks pretty nice on front end. The radaitor is new as is most front end parts, under the hood needs the A/C hooked back up and thats about it. It also needs an exhaust. I have almost all the trim in NOS and will be available to the buyer separetly. The rear quarters need some minor rust repair as does the driver door, that is all the rust that needs repaired prior to paint. I have an extensive NOS parts collection for this car I have been collecting for 16 years. I will accept buy it now offers on this car and can combine any or all of the NOS parts. I have some very hard to find parts in NOS. Parts I know are missing, there are some A/C parts missing. When I got the car it didnt have the AM/FM radio or the rear slats. I have a whole new interior for the car, gas tank, fan shroud, all gas tank filler clamps hoses etc. A partial list of NOS parts available but not currently included: Front Bumper, Grille, Lower Grille with Paint, Pair Headlight Moldings, hood lip, hood scoop grille and two lights, 5 of the 8 Rocker mouldings, front side lamps pair, rear tail bezels, honeycomb, mach 1 trunk letters, trunk latch, some weather striping, i have some wiring in nos, a/c dryer, I have more NOS stuff, this is just a partial list. On Jul-13-11 at 11:11:52 PDT, seller added the following information: I have sold several Mustangs in the past year, this is by far the best one I have and wont take that much to complete the restoration. If the price doesnt meet my reserve, its going to the paint shop to be completed and then put back together, if that happens and this car is done, it probably wont be for sale. The only rust I am aware of and I have owned this car for 16 yrs, is a little rust behind the rear wheels, I showed a pic of one side, they both are about the same. The quarters over the wheels are in great original shape. The only other rust issue is driver door, will need two minor patches, maybe at most a silver dollar on each corner and it will be covered by the rocker moldings. The hood and trunk need no repair, they are rust free. All the floors have been repaired, the cowl is in great shape and has had no repairs. I have almost all the new parts needed to finish the car.
