Best of both worlds – this is a 1980 MGB backdated to 1967 specs with a vintage racer look. Runs and drives as good as it looks! The engine has been rebuilt and it’s equipped with twin SU carbs and a long center branch header. The exhaust is an ANSA twin chrome tip. The conversion to early specs includes a 1967 steel dash with an early wiring harness, front crossmember, steering column, & brake system. All of the wiring is 1967 by the book except for the Saturn alternator conversion, which is an upgrade for dependability from the original generator. The transmission is a strong late full syncro overdrive. The radiator and motor mounts were also changed to early specs. The professional paint is black base coat clear over a nice straight, rust-free body. Check out the reflections in the pictures. The rear roll pan is a great fitting fiberglass part and the front roll pan is a flush mounted original steel valance with hidden fasteners. There are five Revolution (made in England) 14” x 6” bolt on aluminum wheels with Dunlop 185/70-14 tires. The convertible top is a zip out rear window E-Z on top & has a very good fit. The black interior is very nice & comfortable even on long trips. The car was finished and has been on the road since last August. We just took this car on a 1350 mile road trip through the West Virginia mountains with no issues. With the overdrive, this is an excellent travelling car & I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. The attention this car gets is amazing! My wife says it’s time to start downsizing & one or two of the MGs must go. We will be listing a 1974 Grampion gray MGB on Ebay soon.
