You are bidding on a 2004 Honda Silverwing scooter. I purchased the scooter from the original owner four years ago. He was an older gentleman (like myself), who had put 7,000 miles on it and it was in pristine condition. I have put another 15,000 miles on it and it has received meticulous care during that time. It has never been dropped or damaged in any way and the only blemishes on the bike are two tiny scratches on the top of the left rear passenger grab bar that were caused by a bungee cord. For those not familiar with the Silverwing, it is a big (474 lbs dry weight and 62.8 in wheelbase) scooter. It is very fast, nimble, and with the CVT (automatic) transmission,extremely easy to operate. It can carry lots of gear in the huge underseat compartment as well as the two fairing compartments. Seats two adults comfortably and will cruise all day long at 60-70 mph. The speedo shows a top speed of 120 mph and I have no doubt it will achieve that. This particular bike has both a front and rear adjustable backrest as well as three different windshields. The only things that deviate from new are the tires ( both have about 50% wear remaining) and the underseat latch has divested itself of the return spring and doesn't lock Specs: Engine and Transmission- 582cc Liquid cooled, 4 stroke twin, making 48 hp at 7500 rpm, with automatic transmission and Belt final drive. Chassis and Brakes- Front 41mm hyd fork with 119mm travel. Rear swingarm dual shocks with 5 position preload adjustment 119 mm travel. Front tire 120/80/14, Read tire 150/70/13. Single disc front and rear. Wheelbase 62.8 in. Fuel Tank- Holds 4.2 gal and my mileage has been in the 48-50 mpg range consistently. The buyer will be required to provide a deposit of $500.00 within 48 hours of auction end, with the remainder of purchase price to be paid in cash or certified bank check at time of pickup. If buyer would like to fly in and ride home, I can pick up at either Cleveland Hopkins Airport or Akron/Canton. This bike can be driven quite literally anywhere with complete confidence.
