Vehicle Detail

I am relisting my 1969 Dodge D100 Sweptline Pick up truck with NO RESERVE, I must sell this truck!! This is the ultra rare short bed step side model known as a "Utiline" by the factory. This Dodge was built to be my personal driver and is a one of a kind classic D100. Several years ago I bought a wrecked Chrysler Newport with a rebuilt 383cid engine and 727 Torqueflite transmission with the plans of building a street rod using the Chrysler's drive train. About a year later I came across this Dodge truck. The owner planned on rebuilding the engine and had disassembled it, but never finished it. The truck had sat in his old shed for more than twenty years before I bought it. The truck was exactly what I was looking for to make into my daily driver / street rod. The project started about two years ago. First the truck was stripped down to the frame. All the drive train and suspension was removed, along with the bed, fenders, doors, hood and cab. Luckily the only rust in the whole truck was on the cab floor, which was minimal and easily repaired. The truck was reassembled using the rebuilt Chrysler 383cid engine and 727 torqueflite transmission. The engine is a factory 330HP we added an Edlebrock 750CFM carburetor, MOPAR electronic ignition and Headman headers for better performance and reliability. The front suspension was changed to full independent with disc brakes and power rack and pinion steering from a 1993 Thunderbird SC. "Pro" adjustable shocks and Eibach coil over springs were used on the front and rear. The rear suspension was also changed to full independent with disc brakes and limited slip differential. The rear suspension is also from a 1993 Thunderbird SC. Both the front and rear use the T-Bird unequal length upper and lower control arms for better handling and and ride. By using using the T-Bird front and rear suspension and coil over shocks the ride height is full adjustable. Another very important benefit to the T-bird SC suspension is parts are available at any parts store and alignment is simple. In addition the rear also has coil overload springs for towing and heavy loads. This truck drives and rides very good! The hood was changed to open from the rear. The interior was completely redone, as was the dash board. It has a good am/fm stereo cd player with JBL speakers. The truck has a leather tilt steering wheel and leather eight way adjustable power seats for both the driver and passenger. All the rubber was replaced along with the run channels for the door glass. The truck was completely rewired and a new fuse and circuit panel with master cut off switch was installed. The gauges are all new as well as the switches. The tires are new and the rims are American Racing 15" x 7" NASCAR style. We added moon discs wheel covers to get the nostalgia look we wanted. The truck was repainted as it went back together with rust preventive primer and oil base enamel. We did not spend weeks to make the body absolutely perfect. We wanted a good lucking daily driver, we weren't building a show truck that only travels in a trailer. The truck starts and drives great. I have driven it for about six months and have put 1,284 miles on it. There are a couple of little things I was still considering, like adding fog / driving lights and I thought about adding A/C. I even have a rebuilt MOPAR period correct unit that I will include if the buyer wants it. But now I don't have time to do anything else on my truck. We have had a very serious medical problem occur in our family and this truck has to be sold to help cover the expenses. Obviously this is not a brand new vehicle but it only has 1,284 mile on it since I started driving it. This truck was built for me to drive everyday, it is the way I wanted it. It runs and drives good, starts everyday, does not overheat, will tow a trailer and you get more thumbs up than you can count! There is a lot more that was done during the building of this truck but I don't have time or space to list it all. The bottom line is IT MUST BE SOLD!! Because of the urgency of our position, I am listing this truck with a NO RESERVE. Please email me with any question, I have many more pictures I can send. Please bid to own this very rare Dodge D100!! Thanks for looking good luck bidding. I have the clear CA title and the truck is registered through December 2011. Thanks again for looking. I reserve the right to end this auction early as I have the truck listed locally. On Jul-19-11 at 14:45:03 PDT, seller added the following information: THIS TRUCK IS A FANTASTIC BUY! I HAVE WELL OVER $10,000.00 IN PARTS INVESTED IN THIS TRUCK WITHOUT THE LABOR!!!!
