My vision was to have a nostalgic interior with a functional and durable exterior. No orange peel, a mile deep. Again,the tailgate is the ONLY place with a paint mishap(clearcoat sagged in places because of dropping temp+late night+many formed reveals) It might be soft enough to wet sand and buff smooth. b) Added pic of 6pt roll cage in it's early stage. Now has passenger grab handle and harness mounts and vertical front window spreader c) Answers to height questions: 6'9" Overall ground to windshield top, 6'8" front tire total width, 23.25" Tranny X member ground clearance, 12.75" under rear diff, 13.5" under front diff, 36" top of front bumper to ground, 49" top of front fender to ground, 34" under rockers, 31" under bottom rear bumper to ground, 60" top of hood to ground, 40" bed to ground, 44" door opening to ground d) Added specific years and makes to some parts below ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** BODY: -Originally a neglected Arkansas farm vehicle with soy beans growing from beneath gas tank! -Sand/Soda Blasted to remove all paint/body filler/rust. -Every crooked or rusty panel was removed, new 16g metal or resto panels welded in, hammered, and smoothed. I replaced metal in every area of the body inside and outside. Rage Gold Filler was used where needed but emphasis was placed on metal work. -Sherwin Williams Epoxy Primer and Base/Clear coat paint. Prepped properly and applied in a booth. No bugs or junk. Color is Lexus Oasis Green Pearl. The entire body was color sanded and buffed after flow coat and has no orange peel. All Black or Grey parts are single stage catalyzed Urethane paint. -Carefully painted inside, outside and underside. -Pinstriped flames under hood for fun. -Dark gray Speed Liner on foot wells and bed floor only. -All NEW stainless, grade 5 or 8 hardware depending on application. -Black Undercoated wheel wells. -Rear Wheel Wells are dovetailed for clearance. -HANDCRAFTED rocker guards and rear body corner guards and Speed Liner coated. -Tailgate straight and solid and will include “4 Wheel Drive” restoration stencil -Nostalgic Stock Interior: Knobs, All NEW Gauges, restored Cane E-brake handle, restored steering wheel, NEW gray canvas upholstery. -HANDCRAFTED steerer tube guide/ clamp (rather than stock bent steel strap). -NEW Turn signal retrofit. -NEW maple hood blocks painted to match body. -NEW Serial number firewall plate. It can be glued down or cut/pulled up and resprayed in that local area. The BED PORTION of the S.L is there FOREVER though. (just want to be 100% honest) ***Again, this rig is almost ready to go! It just needs a little bit more time. Again, I have too many projects, a lovely new baby and have sadly lost interest in rock crawling Jeeps. I can guarantee that the quality on this build is top notch. I spared no expense on parts and cut no corners when I handcrafted all the intricacies of this entire rig. People really love it and it turns the heads of people driving by and when I moved it across town on a trailer.
