Vehicle Detail

Its time to sell my heart and soul. This is a beautifully restored (5 years ago) 1986 CJ7 that I bought from a builder in Arizona on ebay. I have had nothing but pleasurable moments having this classic sitting in my garage. I decided to do a couple of upgrades to it. First of all, I decided that the in line six cylinder 258 was very inadequate. Producing only 102 rwhp (dyno tested) I found the jeep always falling on its face. I also had to make sure that the jeep would be smog legal because I live in Las Vegas (Clark County). Not an easy task. So I did research and found a 1989 Chevy small block 350 CI TBI Motor would do the trick. I then ordered the installation kit from advance adapters and spent countless hours on my project. Once the installation was done I took a quick trip down to Nevada Emissions for an inspection. Nevada inspector said this was one of the best engine conversions he has ever seen and the jeep passed with flying colors (Have certification document). I then took the jeep to the dyno to test the small block. I wanted the jeep to be reliable, economical but more powerful then the 258. The Jeep produced 185 rwhp for a 83 horsepower gain! Not bad for being throttle body injected. I then put ten factory axles along with a detroit true trac in the amc 20. I wanted the rear end to handle the extra power and it does so easily. The Jeep has a Dana 300 transfer case and T5 transmission the that shifts like butter. It has the stock 3.31 gears. I then put a 2.5 inch pro comp lift on it and added new 32 inch BF Goodrich all terrains. This jeep cruises the highway at 75 mph with no problem thanks to the overdrive transmission. I usually get around 16 mpg city and 18 highway. I then added chrome basically everywhere except the grille. I drive the jeep on weekends as it is not my primary vehicle. When it is not driven it is stored in a garage. I have never off roaded the jeep as it is to nice for that. No rust and the paint is nearly perfect. I would not be afraid to get in this jeep and drive across country. That being said it still is a 25 year old vehicle and nothing is perfect. It has a small drip from the Dana 300 I just haven't had the time to fix it. I rate this whole jeep as a solid 9 out of 10. I personally have not seen a CJ7 as nice as this one. Engine has edelbrock performer intake, hedman ceramic headers, msd ignition, Dual flow master 2.5 inch exhaust, magnaflow cats, chrome tips and TBI spacer. Basically stock and of course more power can be gotten out of it. Jeep has plenty of power NOW! Im sure I forgot some things so dont be afraid to ask questions....no trades. If you live near Las Vegas I will show the Jeep by appointment only! I reserve the right to cancel auction and sell locally. On Jul-13-11 at 16:14:48 PDT, seller added the following information: I have recieved more questions about the jeep so I decided to post them here. 1. Engine is throttle body fuel injection with painless wiring to gm computer behind glovebox. 2. Serpentine belt system. 3. One wire 145 amp alternator. 4. Linex lined firewall and inner fenders. 5. Aluminum radiator from advance adapters.
