I do not buy and sell cars for profit. In fact, I don't recall ever having made a profit! I buy cars because I like them and want to enjoy having them. Right now, I have just contracted to buy another one that comes with lots of extras including three engine/transmission combinations. This car is a really big project and will consume all of my “car lover's energy” for a year or two or more (the Lord willing). Plus, it will take up the space now devoted to 2 or 3 of my present cars. (I have 5 collector cars, including the new one, a truck to tow my car transporter and my car transporting trailer.) When I get a car, I go through it and have all defects repaired. There are always things to improve and if you buy this one you will surely find some areas for improvement. You won't find that I have deceived you, covered up any defects or misled you in any way. So, I am putting 2 or 3 of my cars up for sale at a loss just to accommodate my new project. These are a cut above all others in the reproduction body world. Number 9 of only 17 ever built, and is one of only a hand full of full fendered cars. Doors align perfectly with good gaps, confirming the high quality of the build. Tri-bar headlights, billet wheels, mirrors, and so much more! Beautiful paintwork done to last. Top on or top off, the car looks fantastic! Frame: Zipp frame set up for 4 link and Mustang 2. A superior frame designed by Darrell Zipp to complement the feel and quality of this Zipper phaeton body. Adjustable coilovers at all 4 wheels, tubular control arms, all painted, chromed or polished for that show car look. But super streetable at the same time. This is a VERY sorted out car, exceptionally fun to drive. Suspension: Mustang 2 rack and pinion aftermarket front suspension fully adjustable to suit your driving style and the roads in your area. 4 link rear with 9 inch Ford rear end. Powertrain: 69 350 cubic inch Chevy seasoned 69 block with comp cams 268 cam for great power with a noticable idle. THANKS Here is a simpler, down to earth write up: Well, this is a 32 Ford Phaeton with the chassis, body and removable top by Darrell Zipp. The build is by Street Rods by Michael. It has a Chevy 350 with TuboHydromatic Auto Transmission and a Ford 9 inch rear end. (See, there is something really Ford in this Ford.) The interior is all full grain leather by Ball. The gauges are by VDO. The wheels are by Weld Racing. By now, you are probably seeing a trend. Every part of this build was top of the line. It has a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. It has a top of the line intake manifold and headers. The exhaust is high end. The front end is Mustang II. (Wow, another real Ford part!) What doesn't it have? Power brakes. Power steering. It does not need these items. It is easy to steer and easy to stop. It drives and handles wonderfully! (The best I have ever had and I have had quite a few.) Also, it does not have am air conditioner. Issues: a couple of mild paint and body issues to be taken care of when my body man has a little time. It used to run roughly and die easily on cold starts. It stopped doing that when I asked my mechanic to put a new carburetor in. The last two photos are of a drawing I made of the car and an embroidery of the car I made from the drawing. I will provide these items to the winner and can do the same for your car for $150. I encourage inspection of the car before bidding. If you are the winning bidder, the car is yours.
