I bought this car a couple of years ago from the original owner. I have copies of the purchase contract the first time it left the showroom. I also have paperwork for repairs and service throughout the years, from late 1973 through 2008. I bought it with the intent to restore it, started to do some work on it, but I have too many cars and I honestly do not have enough time to work on all my cars. I spent (and can document) over $700 in tune up service, oil change, new battery, and replacement of all fuel lines. The car starts right up, runs excellent, and in general, it behaves like a Volkswagen engine. Although the car can be driven, it is still a project car ready to be restored with no much effort. The paint is faded, and tt has rust issues as highlighted in the pictures, but overall it's a complete and straight car, which makes it an easy project to restore. It has air shock absorbers in the rear, and the electrical system works just fine;there's a couple of dents that need to be repaired, and the windshield has a spot about the size smaller than a quarter, as if had been hit by a flying rock. I have few boxes of extra parts, that will go along with the car to the winning bidder.
