Vehicle Detail
1958-61 Honda 50 C-100.This was a barn /garage find from my personal collection that I will never get to or finish. If anyone knows the exact year of this machine, please let me know,Thank you, because I am not a honda expert.I was told years ago by the original owner, that he bought it new,but could not remember if it was late 50's or early 60's.It sat for years, inside, and when I got it years ago,I had plans to get it running and restore it back to it's original condition.I started to buy all kinds of parts and what not, before the internet explosion. There are alot of extra parts that go with this bike.(see pics)Extra set of Rear shocks,a whole front end, cables, extra set of handle bars, another wheel, and more, etc. The bike is not running and will be sold as is where is,without a title, bill of sale only.Has good compression and motor spins and turns freely. It shifts through all gears freely, and has heel to toe shifter. It only has 2798 miles on it.Original owner said that was true mileage. The bike is all original, paint, exaust, taillight, etc. seat, it is in good shape but has 2 small pieces of tape on the top of it,that I assume are tears but I don't know for sure. There is no key but ignition is there. There is a crack at the bottom of the front plastic fender and crack on the plastic headlamp. The bike is complete with the exception of right side cover missing, and I think there was a white fairing around your knees and legs, but I am not sure of that.I did not do much to this over the years, mainly just gathering some parts.I did buy 2 brand new tires, and installed the front one on the rim.Back one goes with bike but I have not installed it,(see pics). Also at one time took off the carb.cleaned it all and put it back together. It still has it's original battery from way back in the day.The frame number is C100-205561.On the frame, the number or letter after the c100-,is either an R or a 2.I can't quite make it out.The motor number is C100E 363168.This is a cool bike to get running and ride,or restore to original condition.I think that is about it.If you have any questions please ask.I am listing with no reserve, but buyer is responsible for pick up and/or shipping.Payment due 5 days after auction ends, and buyer needs to contact me with pick-up and payment plans 48 hours after auctions end.I will help load.1st gear,it's allright,2nd gear, hold on tight,3rd gear it's allright, faster,faster... it's allright................Isn't that how the old song goes?Again,if anyone knows the exact year of this, please send me an e-mail so I can edit my listing. Thanks for looking. My phone is (207)363-4909,if you live local and want to stop by to have a look, give me a call.On Jul-09-11 at 16:30:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you, all the honda nuts out there. The bike(my bike)is a 1965.Thank you all for helping me out with that. Also if little or no feedback bidders, you need to contact me first before buying this bike,I have the right to block you or not sell the bike to you due to privious problems in the past. That's why I provided my phone number.Thank youOn Jul-09-11 at 16:47:34 PDT, seller added the following information: One last note, this would be considered a restoration project,I think that is obvious.I just want everyone to know that before bidding,it will need work and you just won't be able to get on it and ride.Call or e-mail me with any questions.people have asked if it is a parts bike, and that depends on your perspective.I think it's to nice to be a parts bike, but if you own one of these already, and it's in nice running, driving condition, then yes,I would use it as such.Parts are somewhat scarce for these old bikes.Thank you.
