Vehicle Detail
This BMW is still owned by the same family that purchased it new back in March of 1987. It is one of the first E30 series convertibles to arrive in America. The vehicle has never been involved in any accidents, has no rust, and had its original black paint refinished in June of 2009. All drivers have been non-smokers. During the winter months, it is garaged in a climate-controlled warehouse. Upgrades/Improvements include Bilstein dampers with BAS springs, BBS 16” alloy wheels with performance Dunlop tires. A Racing Dynamics front stress bar helps keep the chassis planted firmly on the road, and a Dinan performance chip provides maximum performance out of the 2.5 liter inline 6 engine, which has never been rebuilt and has perfect compression in all 6 cylinders. The exhaust system was changed to an all stainless-steel free flow model from Scorpion. The audio system has been completely revamped, yet remains inconspicuous to the casual observer. Maintained by Bimmerworks in West Chester, PA this convertible still drives and handles with aplomb, attesting to the pureness and simplicity of BMW’s comeback vehicle, the famous E30 Series. It will provide its new owner with many, many years of driving enjoyment.
