I am the original owner and have used this vehicle for personal use mainly for my 180 mile round trip commute to work. As of this add everything functions on the car including heated seats , mirrors and rear window. Power mirrors work (the mirror cover at the bottom has been cracked but everything functions and does not affect inspection). The seats are manual and work fine. The power windows work but drivers side is a little touchey as to stopping in midway positions. The car starts and runs fine with very little smoke. It has a very good Interstate battery and rebuilt alternator within last 50K. Has had the transmission serviced with Redline synthetic in the last 60K . All lights work. A/C works. Radio works. The lights that iliminate the heater and fan speed knobs are on again off again. I had the cylinder head rebuilt along water pump and timing belt replaced 99, 000 miles ago. While under VW extended warranty the torque converter was replaced around 90K. My mechanic says that it needs front strut mounts and replacing them along with new struts is warranted. If braking over very bumpy roads or turning while applying brakes a tunk can be heard in rt front(as a note the front strut mounts were often squeeky from new.) The front tires are slightly cupped causing a steering wheel vibration at hwy speeds. The tires still have tread but the problem with the Michilin Hydoedge tires is they last forever and they cup as they get over 90,000. The check engine light is on and a scan tool will indicate a malfunction with one glow plug but as per my mechanic it is the control unit for the glow plug circuit that is causing a false fail signal. All glow plugs work and vehicle has ever failed to start and does not smoke on start up like it would if a glow plug was bad. Left front tow hook cover is missing. In an effort for full disclosure I have listed all I know about this car. I am selling this car AS IS without any warranty implied. It has been well cared for and not beat up and I am not ashamed of it and I invite closer inspection.
