Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT with the Off-Road Package. I bought this truck new in November of 1999 and due to recent circumstances I need to sell it. Eight months ago the transmission blew while I was backing out of my driveway while in four wheel drive during a snow storm. In the time since then I attempted to remove the transmission myself but due to time constraints and my current financial situation, I need to sell this ASAP. Before the transmission went out I knew the following things were wrong with it: 1. Both door locks don’t work as power locks anymore, they need to be manually activated/locked. 2. Three ball joints are bad on the front, I replaced the driver side bottom one shortly before she was parked but didn’t get to the others in time. 3. Windshield was damaged in a hail storm in the past. Depending on the vehicle inspection type in your state this may need to be repaired or replaced before the vehicle can be certified. It is cracked and not “bulls eyed” or leaking The truck has been garaged about four of the months and on jack stands about six of those months to give me clearance to work on it. The transmission is about 75-85% of the way out and what is needed to finish the removal are the half of the bell housing bolts and the cross member, the rest is out. As you can see from the pictures I took good care of the body and tried to keep up on the interior. I didn’t want to sell the truck but I commute a long ways and this truck just isn’t what I need. It is a one owner vehicle that has seen the love and care I could afford to give her. I’ve changed the oil every 3,000 miles myself and have replaced the items as needed when my finances allowed it. This truck would be a great cheap fixer upper or even a great donor truck for that project of yours. She has the 3.0L and has 106,938 miles on the engine/drivetrain. The truck comes with two keys and their matching fobs. Also it is the Off-road package which includes the 16 inch alloy rims, heavier duty shocks, fender flares, and the XLT package and the goodies that comes with. Also installed at the dealership are the Ford bed liner, painted/matched running boards, undercoat which is starting to show its age, and finally a professional installed class three receiver. In person inspection is encourage and can be arranged by appointment only. Preferred times are 6PM-10PM CST during the week and all day on the weekend. If you want to hear her crank over or test the electrical items, you will need to supply the power since the battery is dead (thank you Ford and your “anti-theft” system). Terms of sale: 25% of the sale price is due at auction end and the rest is due seven days after the auction has ended. Buyer will have 14 days from the end of the auction end to remove the vehicle from the premises and anything left after that point will be removed at the cost of the buyer. Auction winner will need to arrange removal and transportation (if applicable) for the vehicle. The title is a clean title and is in my possession. I have described what I know about the vehicle at this point and it is the responsibility of the buyer to check the vehicle before bidding on the auction. Vehicle is sold as-is to the buyer and the buyer assumes all responsibilities for the vehicle after it has been transferred from the seller.
