Vehicle Detail
I am listing my weekend toy that I have owned over the last 2 years for sale. I recently downsized to a house without garage and my wife and I also plan to have kid so this car must go (title in hand). This is a highly modified car with many details so I am trying to list out the issues/features/lack of features that may or may not affect you bidding right off the bet to save your time. Please email me or call me (email for phone#) if you have any other question. 1) This car may need engine work. - I don't drive this car in Winter but when I start driving it this Spring, it doesn't seems to pull as strong as last year and also it seems to smoke more then usual. I am guessing it may need some engine work and/or re-tuned. - It starts right up and drives fine but I want to make sure the bidders are aware of possible engine or tuning issue. 2) The convertible top have few rips and one of the clips is malfunctioning. - I almost always drive the car top down so it never bother me. And it is probably not a good idea to drive the car in rain or snow anyway. - If you enjoy top down motoring and do not want attention, this car is not for you, see pictures for reason :) 3) No AC but heats works. - I never feel the need for AC with the top down. 4) Most of the interior are stripped including the convertible top motor to save weight. 5) The car runs on E85 Ethanol (I love it, the engine runs much cooler with it) , but if yo don't have a E85 station close by, may need to re-tune it with normal fuel. The car has about 66,500 miles on it, everything listed below were done at 60,000 miles so all parts have 6500 miles or less on them. Some works were done in less then 1000 miles ago. Built motor Aries custom pistons Carallio (sp) rods Darton sleeves blue printed all ARP hardware, rod, head, intake, exhaust, ext bolts. Pass side is a kirkey. 6 point Sparco harness on pass side and a 5 point on drivers. 8 point cage that is made of 4130 crmo (make the car even stiffer!). It will be NHRA cert to 9.59 Trans 1-4 has new gears from honda with carbon syncros 8lb alum flywheel Stage 5 4puck C/C clutch with the strongest P/P Diff Inline Pro Rear Diff kit consists of Inline Pro mounts/ brackets/wheel hubs, 300zx rear diff 1000HP axels and drive shaft shop. Current running E85 Ethanol @ 413HP low boosts Tuned by Brad Brooks from ISP Racing in Beltsville, MD. Carbon fiber hood Air/Fuel, Boost and Coolant temperature gauges mounted Longer wheel bolts Battery relocation to the trunk Espier Lowering spring with stock struts Brand new rear wheel bearings installed by Honda dealer recently (cost about $1000) New Alignment recently by Honda dealer using UK S2000 Spec, slightly more negative camber, handles great. Car has never been in accident, drive straight. The bad:Convertibles top has two rips and one of the clip need to be replaced. Probably need a new wideband sensor because the A/F garage something not reading or not reading correctly. Some bending it he exhaust pipe near the end of the exhaust due to car being a little too low. There’s few easy fix option. On Jul-05-11 at 15:15:25 PDT, seller added the following information:I took below video yesterday, I kept the rpm below 7000 during the runs, it gets very loud above that, didn't want to disturb my neighbors too much. It ran pretty good, smokes a little bit as described. You can see the smoke from 1:45 to 1:50 HD in full screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdIzQPBxcg8On Jul-05-11 at 19:23:41 PDT, seller added the following information:Direct Link to youtube
