I bought this willys with the intention of putting it on a later model wagoneer chassis which I also have. The body is in excellent condition with some rust around the roof drip rails and the tail gate hinge. The only spot where there is rot through is the drivers rocker panel and it is only about 4 quarter inch holes. There are a few bubbles in the paint on the lower door skins but the doors are solid. The body looks to be all original and the floors had some rust that was treated in the past and they are also solid. There are some chips and scratches in the paint. All the glass is good and the bumpers are straight and will polish up OK. The tailgate seals are new and I have new door seals. Mechanically the wagon is fine . Hubs, trans, transfer cases engine and steering all in good condition. The truck runs and drives like a 1961 Willys. All gauges and lights work except dash and dome light. It feels like the headlight switch is worn. The truck has new front brakes and wheel cylinders along with new hardware. The master cylinder and pedal bushings are also new . The truck has heavy duty springs all around and 4 recent shocks. The truck has 5 military style tires that are also good. The truck has factory vacuum wiper that are pretty much useless. I have tried 3 used vacuum motors and they all stink. An electric conversion is available from a few places for about $130.00. The truck currently has a hydraulic type parking brake in place of the original. I have collected most of the original parts to replace the original. The interior of the truck is in fairly good shape. There is a blue cloth and vinyl seats and panels. The headliner is not ripped but discolored somewhat. There may be some trim pieces missing between the headliner and the sides of the truck. The tacks holding the wind lace are visible. The cloth seats could use a shampooing. The dash looks like there was a hole on the passengers side next to the speedometer which was patched over. The dash is painted flat black. There is no floor covering in the truck. I have a lot of documents for the vehicle going back 30 years. In 1date for 1990 the truck got a full body make over. I also have an extensive service history for the truck. This is a good solid truck that can be used or be a candidate for a restoration. The truck comes with a transferable NY registration in the name of the previous owner. There is no title for vehicles this old in NY. Please read the terms of sale before bidding.
