Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Trails, dunes, mud, rocks, whatever. Throw anything you want in this beast’s path and it’ll handle it. This 1981 Jeep CJ-7 features an AMC 360 cid V8, front and rear Dana 44’s, 4” suspension lift, 35” tires, TF-727 automatic transmission, HD power steering box, and a Dana 300 transfer case. The engine is from an ’81 Wagoneer and is mechanically solid. It has an Edelbrock Torker II intake and an Edelbrock 4 bbl carb on it so it runs strong and it sounds great. The axles are from a Scout II and they give the Jeep a w-i-d-e stance. They have 4.10 gears and the rear has a Detroit locker in there! Plenty of power and gearing to get over whatever you need. Structurally, the body and frame are VERY solid. The surfaces on the suspension could use some brushing up, but there is no rot anywhere on this Jeep…no rust and none of those panels that people rivet on to cover rot. There is one spot that has some body filler on the rear quarter, but is because of a dent repair rather than rust repair. Cosmetically, the truck is is appropriately presentable. It has some dings, scratches, and stickers here and there (as it should) and, unless you're going to show it, no new paint is needed. The underbelly and engine bay are grimy, but the interior is pretty much brand new. Handling-wise, it wanders a little on the road so an alignment is recommended. Of note, the steering is set for high ratio/power so, consequentially, it has a wide turning radius. Acceleration and braking are terrific (have you screeched 35’s lately?). Curb appeal and awesomeness: Check and check. The Jeep was purchased about 3 years ago and has recently gone through a light restoration over the past 9 months, including: - New custom, HD rear driveshaft - New BestTop highback seats - Restored dashboard with new gauge cluster and knobs - New carpet - New windshield glass and hinges - New half doors - New bikini top - Rebuilt front driveshaft - New MP3 radio and speakers - New rear bumpers - Custom satin silver stripes on the hood and rear quarters - New nerf bars - Newer, extra-wide fender flares. Overall, a great, fun vehicle to spend your Summer in. Very drivable as is and not much left to turn this from great to terrific. Low reserve set so you can buy it, put a couple of thou into it sell it for $10k – you won’t be disappointed. Clean title, paperwork will be no problem. Buyers are encouraged to view/drive the vehicle prior to bidding: currently in San Diego, CA. Shipping/Transport is the responsibility of the buyer, but willing to help with arrangements as needed or as appropriate. $500 deposit due 48 hours after auction end and remainder due when title is signed over.
