Vehicle Detail
This is my sons first car and he saved up the money himself to buy the car. By an unfortunate accident I was able to get my first car back. My son now wants to build that car and is willing to sell his Charger. The car has power front disk brakes, these were rebuilt by the previous owner. We rebuilt the rear brakes. The rear tires are brand new, the front tires have tread but should be replaced. The car does not have a spare or jack. The power steering box has been rebuilt. The car has a new Edelbrock 4 bbl carb. The car has been converted to a Mopar electronic igniton. The car has headers, Mickey Thompson valve covers, and the original dual snorkel aircleaner. Complete engine tune up including spark plugs, sparkplug wires, oil change, oil filter and motor mounts. The engine is not numbers matching but runs fine. The transmission is not numbers matching, it is freshly rebuilt with less than a hundred miles. The car had incorrect seats and old bad carpet, the car now has the correct 1970 bucket seats, they need to be recovered. The driver seat is a six way seat. The hinge covers are missing and if they are found by auctions end will go with the car. The carpet is Year One black carpet less than six months old. It has holes cut for a floorshift converison. It has decent original door panels. Needs new rear seat cover and headliner. The car has a new glovebox liner. We have a nice console (only in need of new woodgrain sticker), we have shifter linkages but no shifter. Since the car was an automatic on the column we bought a floorpan with console and bucket seat brackets, which will go with car. You also get a floorshift rebuilt steering column with new turn signal, and ingnition switches, new mounting capsules and rebuilt steering coupler. You will also get a used dashpad in better shape then the one on the car. The car came from the factory with AC, we have some of the parts which will go with the car. The body has rust in the rear quarters, trunk floor, and roof tunnels by rear window. This was caused by the original black vinyl top retaining water. Floorpans and frame rails are solid and rust free. Both rear fenders are dented. Should be replaced. At some point in its life the car was hit on the passenger side. It has a Plum Crazy door under the orange paint. The right front fender is dented, dont know if it can be fixed. The left front fender has a dent that can be pushed out. It NEEDS body work and paint. It is an original EK2 GoManGo car with a black vinyl top and black interior. The car was made in November very near Halloween like its colors! It a late 1969 production car so it has some '69 parts like the taillights. No fender tag or build sheet have been found, has VIN tag, door sticker, and a clear New Mexico title. Extra parts include: R/T door scoops ( broken studs), upper door pad cores for R/T or 500, headlight doors, headlight door wiring, A/C parts, Tuff wheel (needs recovered), lots of chrom trim including wheel lip moudlings and remainder of vinyl top trim, and whatever else we find. This is a good running driving car, it is a drive it while you fix it car. We have been honest in our description because we would like to keep the new buyer happy. Check out the other 1970 Chargers and you will see this big block project car is a great value. No warranties, guarantees, written or implied. The car is sold AS IS. A $1000 non-refundable deposit is due through PayPal at close of auction. The remainder to be paid within seven days or auctions end. By wire transfer to bank account, we will keep the car in our garage for 30 days after close of auction. If the car is not picked up, it will be moved to an outdoor storage lot and a $50 fee per month will due before car will be picked up. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup. You are bidding to buy this car and make it your own project! Not to come and see the car and then back out. Bid to win! Please ask all questions before bidding, can send extra photos if needed. Thanks for looking and good luck We reserve the right to end the auction at any time. On Jun-26-11 at 14:06:56 PDT, seller added the following information: This car also originally came with an 8 3/4 axle and the AO1 light package. On Jul-01-11 at 07:13:55 PDT, seller added the following information: VIN # XH29NOG144XXX. The door sticker has the car as a November 1969 build (so it is an early 1970). Took the car out for a drive yesterday and it was fun to be in an old Mopar. You get looks from everyone. Lets talk- I was asked if I could store the car thru August. The car needs to be paid in full By the Monday after the auction and a 1000.00 non refundable down payment thru Paypal At auctions end. I will FedEx the title and 1 set of keys to the new owner as soon as the payment is in the account. So I guess I could keep it for 60 days instead of 30. If you bid- please realize that you are going to own this Muscle car. No refunds or returns because of buyers remorse or because your aunts neighbor opened the garage and she has a mint Hemi Charger that she is willing to sell. The reserve is what my son has in the car- thats it- not padded or inflated- the bidding is a few dollars away from the reserve. ( not a few hundred- a few dollars). The rust. I want to be too honest- no shocks when you get here. The floor, frame rails, front inner fenders, firewall, all seem rust free- that means no rot is showing to the naked eye. The car has rot on both lower rear quarters and the section of the rear fender in front of the rear tires. both rear fenders have dents. I suggest hanging 2 new rear fenders. The local Mopar speed shop has 2 aftermarket rear fenders. A local Mopar guy has a pair of used fenders for sale also. I was asked about the rear wheel housings. From the trunk and uner the back seat they look fine. I cant tell by looking under (over the rear tires) because it has under coating while the trunk and back seat area is GOMANGO. I have seen 318 rusty Chargers sell for this amount. If you are going to fix up a charger why not buy a more loaded car for the same money and amount of work? The car has "N" code 335 horse 383 4bbl, PS, PDisk Brakes, A/C, 8 3/4 rear end, High Impact color- GoManGo, Black top and interior. Wow what a hot car. I was asked if the car could be driven to the Pacific West coast. I don't know! We have driven the car around Albuquerque. As per the description, it has no spare or jack. The car will be filled with extra parts and what about the extra floor pan and tunnel with all the console brackets need for the conversion. Where would you put that? Please email with questions and thanks for reading my novel. On Jul-01-11 at 20:47:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked about rear window rust. If you stand behind the car the 2 long roof lines need rust repair. The panel between the trunk lid and window seems fine. In case I did not say it above- buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements, fees and costs. Thanks
