NO RESERVE Video Link ----- http://youtu.be/AF0uPMzRgz4 Picture Link------ http://s1027.photobucket.com/albums/y338/clawlor22/1970%20LS5%20454%20Chevelle%20SS%204spd%20%20%20FOR%20SALE/ This car has undergone an extensive frame off restoration. Front to back top to bottom this is truly a turn key car!! If you have been searching for that optioned true LS big block car with factory options than please read on. This car was purchased from a 21 year resting place with most of its original parts and documentation. This car is an 01- January, D-fourth week of 1970 Kansas production car. The cowl tag has never been removed! This SS was ordered right when it came to the options, which I will list below! It was completely dismantled piece by piece, and brought back to its former high performance glory. This car retains its original floors, trunk floor, doors, tinted glass with the exception of a new correctly tinted front windshield, AO coded rally wheels with original beauty rings, original dash with all fully functional gauges, no aftermarket under the dash specials. Dash features correct LS5 5500 rpm redline tack, Ameter and temp gauges the original gauge light bulbs, even a few of the fuses are the originals and still work! As this car was taken apart it brought many surprises, one of which I have seen few of. Most of your LS option chevelles came with a base 3.31 12 bolt. This car was ordered with a GM #3853008- 39/11, 3.55 posi 12 bolt, and you can certainly feel it! This car also features True Fully Functional complete cowl induction still with the original solenoid to open the inner door, Center console shift, Rare Map light Rear View Mirror, and much more! Before I go any further let me list the options this car comes with: A01 Soft Ray Tinted Glass A51 Strato-Bucket Seats A85 Shoulder Harness B93 Door Edge Guard C08 Vinyl Roof Cover D88 Sport Stripes F41 Special Performance Front and Rear Suspension G80 Positraction Rear Axle G96 Axle 3.55 Ratio J50 Power Brakes J52 Front Disc Brakes LS5 454 HP 4BBL Engine M21 4-Speed Close Ratio Transmission N40 Power Steering PL4 F70x14 U14 Special Instrumentation U35 Electric Clock U76 Windshield Antenna U79 Stereo Equipment UF1 Mirror Map Light Z15 SS 454 ZL2 Special Ducted Hood Air System These Are all the options as I could research and gather from http://www.chevelles.com/shop/ss_ident.html, if there are anymore that would be even better. Upon more research I have found a few early production Chevelle’s to be outfitted with some 69 parts, this car from what I found out could still be ordered with the M-21 trans until later or mid 70 than it was the M-22. This M-21 is completely rebuilt, shifts very smooth and is in perfect working order, with the factory correct Muncie shifter sitting atop. The rear axle was taken apart, cleaned, checked, seals and bearings replaced and all Part #s of the inners written down. The engine is a 1970 era correct 454 Hi Performance, 4 bbl very strong and nice running engine as you can see and hear in the Video. The EXTERIOR of the car was taken down to metal, treated and sealed, sprayed with Base coat black, then bright white for the stripes and several coats of Chroma Base clear applied. Very nice long lasting paint job which will certainly grab some eyes!!! All the gaps are very nice and body lines straight. The underside of this car was in nice shape, to preserve the original metal, A factory type sound deadener and undercoat was re-applied, helping keep the sound and heat of the exhaust on the outside. THE INTERIOR of this car was completely re-done, all new seat covers, featuring the correct diamond centers, carpet, headliner, sunvisors, sail panels, package tray WITH the original Stereo Speaker grills, Brand New Retrosound Stereo, keeping that uncut dash looking right, dash pad etc…… Brand new look, brand new smell! As far as documentation, I have the original Vehicle Inspection Sheet, Warranty pamphlet, although I could not find the pro-tec-to plate, Owners Manual with bag and a small portion of the build sheet. I was told it was found in the pass seat, the seats were covered with leather when I bought the car, whether this was an option in 70 I don’t know, whether this paper was pulled out at some point I don’t know. It is very fragile so I put it in a small frame. It shows the main options of this car which from what I could find are in the right order and confirm a few of the options this car has. I had found parts of a second sheet in the rear seat, unfortunately a rat had done a number on the inners of the seat, shreds was all I found. This Car has all the right looks, the right sound, and the right performance. Definitely a good investment. I urge you to look at all the pictures very closely and read all of this info, twice if you have too.
