This is old school cool. The story is this: The previous owner owned this truck for a number of years. In about 2004 he changed the rear-end gears (open), drove it from Eugene, Oregon to Chicago and back! The reason--to tow a car on a trailer, home from Chicago!! Now that just didn't seem plausible at first, until I checked out the drivetrain. This truck has an aluminum Clifford intake with Holley two-barrel. Of course converted to 12-volt. HEI. Oh wait, did I just say electronic ignition!?? Yes! Headers, dual exhaust (flowmasters, I think), receiver hitch. He parked the truck in 2004. I see all these ads that say, ran when parked. Well, I think its better to say, It runs and drives! Yes, I rebuilt the carb, primed the motor, repaired a couple of wires, blew out the fuel lines & tank, new battery . . . it fired the first time & every time. I replaced the 16 inch yellow wheels with the blue 15's I had, but I still have the 16's, and replaced the fender with one I had. After replacing the master cylinder & making a few adjustments, this truck runs very well & even drives good! I don't think I would have the cajone's to drive it to Chicago, but I bet you would! I think that the motor is a 292, I don't know how to tell. Was told it is a Muncie 3-speed, can't confirm that either. I do have access to a hoist if you want me to post any pics of underneath. It has the flip forward passenger front seat, but no back seats. It is yellow, but I don't know if it was ever a school bus. The only rust-out I found is pictured, typical stuff. I have a patch panel for the drivers side where the windows drain, a piece of glass for the passenger side, a full tank of non-ethanol premium gas. The gauges seem to all work, lights work, (except dash & dome light), brake light, turn signals, even the spotlight work. The heater fan blows, the wipers are two speed and not only work, I bought new blades (It is Oregon, after all) Horn & speedo don't work. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.
