Vehicle Detail

The car is in fair condition. I inherited the car 18 years ago. Prior to that it had sat for 18 years. Let me explain. When I was born my grandfather was driving the car. He was so happy to have a grandchild (I was the first) that he put this car in storage for me until I was 18 years old. I purchased the car from him for a nominal fee, but have been paying for it ever since. After sitting in a warehouse for 18 years (being started only occasionally) it had developed numerous problems. I have replaced the drive shaft (which cracked), the tires, had a new paint job on it (done years ago). I have had other problems such as electrical components wearing out and needing to be replaced (the engine cooling fan for instance). I was in two accidents with the car. One, I damaged the hood and front panels. Unfortunately, the guy who did the work for me has passed away otherwise I would put you in contact with him. In the other, I had the driver side door get pinched. I had that work done at a local mechanic and would be happy to put you in contact with them. Also, there is a grinding in the wheels up front and I have been lead to believe it is the wheel bearings. I have had the car in a warehouse (unheated) for the past eight years or so. It has received some damage since I put it away. Since it is stored in a warehouse with shelving someone dropped a piece on the driver side front panel. It is now creased a bit and the paint has chipped off. You will see it in the pictures. The tires are probably dry rotted and will need to be replaced. Also, the moulding on the driver side is coming off - again, I have included a photo for you. On a better note, the car does have 8 cylinders and when properly tuned really moves well. It has both a hard and soft top for all season driving and the hard top does have an electric defroster in the rear window. It has power windows and the locks are operated on an air pressure system. The brakes are as well which is how I got into the first accident with it. Call me and I'd be happy to tell you all about it. The interior is in good shape. It is black, but not leather. The are no visible tears or defects that I know of. The stereo is not original (I was pretty dumb at 18), but I still have the original one. I will apologize for the pics, the lighting in the warehouse is not adequate, and I have to move other vehicles (which I don't own) in order to move it outside. I think you will get a good feel for it though. It really is a nice car, I just don't have the finances to maintain it. If you are looking for a a mint car this obviously isn't for you. If you don't mind putting a little work into it you will find it to be a gem. Terms of sale will be discussed at a later date.
