CAR IS LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC. HISTORY REPORT SHOWS A LIEN FROM 13 YEARS AGO. THE CURRENT TITLE IS CLEAR....NO LIENS. IF YOU HAVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING. IF NOT, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED, NO EXCEPTIONS. You are bidding on one 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate. 82K miles. Well maintained. Newer clutch and top. Good body. Runs and drives great. A few electrical items need attention, but nothing major. You can drive this anywhere. Just got back from a 180 mile trip. Here are the details: TONS OF PHOTOS HERE: http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa267/velocejoe/Alfa%20Romeo%201988/ ENGINE: COMPRESSION front to back, 130, 120, 120, 130. Engine runs great. No major leaks, etc. New Bosch Super Copper spark plugs. The bolt that holds the alternator bracket will not stay as tight as it should. Alternator works properly, belt just squeals a little when cold. Once it warms up it's fine. Eventually one should have the hole re-tapped, but it's good enough for now. TRANSMISSION: Newer clutch according to previous owner who said it was put in by the person he got it from, who owned it for 12 years. Shifts great. Second gear syncro actually not as bad as they usually are! CHASSIS: Brakes good. Front driver floor had a small hole that was repaired at some point (See photos). Otherwise, no major rust underneath, solid as they come. Maybe some surface rust here and there. Newer KYB shocks all around. Tires are GOODYEAR Assurance Triple-tred with tons of life left. 185/70-14. One tire was cut at the sidewall and I could not find a replacement because they discontinued this size, so I installed a Warrior brand tire of the same size. I DO NOT HAVE THE CENTER CAPS FOR THE RIMS. BODY: Great condition. Top is canvas and pretty new. It could stand to be re-riveted at the uprights behind the door windows to tighten it up a bit. Paint good(some scratches here and there, nothing out of the ordinary for an original 1988 paint job). Hood has some fading as well as cowl panel, trunk has some clear peeling(See photos). My guy local said he could respray for under $500. Easy fix. Only spots of rust are small. Behind driver front wheel, in front of driver rear wheel and a very small spot at driver door seam. (See photos). Weatherstripping fair. One small dent in nose, tried to show it in photos. I do not have the keys for the trunk and fuel releases or the door locks. The front air dam has a little tweak in it. This is very minor and is so thin it can be bent back into shape by hand easily, by the "right" hands. ELECTRICAL: This is the area where some things need tending to. Nothing major, just small stuff. Everything works except for the following: Turn signals and hazards(probably the relay), mirrors, heater fan(I have an extra, good assembly), clock and interior trunk lights(have you ever seen any that did on these things)? A/C fan works and compressor comes on but does not blow cold. Probably just needs a charge. Radio works great, but CD player function does not. I get an "error code 17" when I try to play a CD. Nevertheless, it's a PIONEER Super Tuner III D with JBL speakers in kick panels. Nice and loud. Someone has pieced together the wiring to the antenna in the rear. (See photo). Not sure why, but it works fine. INTERIOR: Pretty nice! Seats and door panels looked to have been redone maybe. Nice red piping around seats and door panels. Driver seat has a small tear(see photo). Piping around driver door panel has sagged, easy fix. Carpet in good condition, possibly a newer replacement set. Dash has a couple cracks and console is cracked right at ashtray(hard to notice). The panel that holds the trunk and fuel door releases does not hold the releases tight against the panel. The releases work fine though. This part is readily available aftermarket, easy fix. The vent on the passenger side has one of the "louvers" broken off, and one of the defrost outlet vents is missing it's louvers. These are readily available also. WHAT WOULD I DO: Drive it and enjoy. I guess get the turn signals fixed, as it will need this to pass most inspections. Otherwise, just drive it, fix the little electrical things as you go along, or simply wait for the winter to address. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS. I can deliver within hundreds, NOT THOUSANDS of miles, for a fee.
