***** Come on...21 watchers, 500+ views, and no one wants it? Why are you watching it then :)I am lowering the initial price, because I don't want to waste my time. I AM NOT GOING TO RELIST. This is the lowest I will go. You want to find a better deal, all the luck to you. It doesn't sell right now, I drive it myself. ***** This is a beautiful sample of when a salvage vehicle is a great deal. The car didn't have any major damage to begin with and I have the pictures to prove it. The repair job is top notch. The paint is like factory. You can tell from the pictures that there are no discrepancies between panels/doors/etc when looking at reflections. I was planning to keep the car for myself, so it was given attention. After the car was completely done I put in a new condenser and refilled the AC system to avoid any possible leaks in the future. I have just done an oil change with full synthetic Mobil One. Checked and reprogrammed the steering angle sensor, as this is a common problem with BMW. If you look up completed auctions and find another salvage 525 that was sold recently, you will see it had the 4x4 malfunction error. That is the problem which that car had most likely. This baby drives great, no issues with alignment at all. It was looked over thouroughly by my personal mechanic with no issues found. I am being absolutely honest and not hiding anything and I hope someone will enjoy this car. Only 2 issues worth mentioning: The horn doesn't work. Upon examination it turned out BMW had 3 different steering wheels for the 5 series and the airbag in the car is from a 528i. The fit is perfect and everything is functioning. BMW just offset the pads between the different modifications(god knows why) that should press the buttons for the horn under the airbag. It is a DIY job to thicken these pads or your friendly mechanic will help you, or you can leave it alone. You can of course replace the airbag after finding the proper modification and sell the one in the car, but that is up to you. ALL THIS DOESNT EFFECT THE AIRBAG OPERATION IN ANY WAY. It just physically is not reaching the button for horn on steering wheel base. The time and date reset occasionally and that is 90% a battery issue. Have your mechanic put it under load test as mine did and just replace it. Thats it. There is nothing else. You can drive this baby as is and not do a thing, it will be just fine. I have all paperwork for all parts that were replaced, as well as the before pictures. That is everything you need to pass the local DMV inspection and get a rebuilt/reconstructed title issued. The salvage title is PA. Car has the Cold package(heated seats). No navigation. No xenons. Ask any questions you have. I will take a non-refundable deposit by PayPal for $500 from the winning bidder within 24 hrs. You will have 7 days to pay the balance in full via cash, wire transfer or cashiers check(which I will verify with the issuing bank by phone). Did I mention it's a 1 owner vehicle before the Salvage status, as well as a Ceritifed Pre Owned car in the BMW system until 2012? It is salvage now, but it shows active there still. Just wanted you to know. There are no warranties implied or offered and no returns. This is not an Ipod.
