Vehicle Detail
THIRD OWNER OF THIS MONSTER BEAST THAT RUNS STRONG BUT WON'T PASS EMISSIONS WITHOUT SOME NEW PARTS. THE GOOD - Strong LT-1 350ci motor, rebuilt at 70,000 miles. Starts right up with help from a brand new fuel pump and very clean gas tank. New Pioneer DEH-P6100BT CD player with front USB input/iPod control and Bluetooth. 8 Infinity Speakers. New Dynaflow straight through muffler. K&N air filter, polished intake elbow. T-Tops, large rear spoiler. Polished valve covers. New 7 year battery. No rust anywhere! New radiator a few years ago. New power steering pump and alternator a couple of years ago. Be sure to see my other listings for a GM Tech-1 Diagnostic Computer and the F-Body manuals for 1995, as well as a Hypertech Power Programmer III. Recent Phoenix to LA trip yielded 20 mpg on the highway and no overheating despite idling in LA traffic for hours. Tires are a couple of years old with almost half the tread remaining. THE BAD - Scratch on front bumper, dent in left front from parking lot hit and run. The air pump circuit trouble code displays and probably needs a new air pump. The catalytic converter is a straight through empty shell, cut and weld new or replace the whole Y-pipe piece if you need to pass emissions. The turn signals need a new plastic piece in the steering column. The aftermarket seats are fading. The carpet is worn & stained. The power door locks do not work. The passenger window power motor is a little slow. Vehicle speed sensor wire shorts out at 70-90 mph due to wind and or hard left turns, resulting in faulty reading. Driver's side t-top sun shade is missing. Someone stole the crossovers for the door speakers. The A/C needs recharging. Misc dings and scratches in paint. One headlight always comes halfway back up after being turned off, so you have to pop the hood and manually turn it down. Rear hatch arms just lost their spring. THE UGLY - Nothing is that ugly, but the transmission is the weak link. Rebuilt by Aamco 2 years ago. Feels like the crappy torque converter they put in is slipping a little. A good driver should be able to baby this and get some more mileage out of it. Any NASCAR driving will tear up the transmission. The transmission is a 4L60E. SHOULD'VE/COULD'VE/WOULD'VE - If I had the time and the money, I would fix the turn signals, get a new air pump and catalytic converter to get through emissions, and then work on the A/C since I'm in AZ, and eventually get a Monster transmission. But, I have a new child, and no time, so this baby has to go. SHIPPING - NONE OFFERED, LOCAL PICK UP ONLY OR ARRANGE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION. CAN PICK YOU UP FROM AIRPORT IF NECESSARY. PAYMENT - $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction end. Balance due within 7 days. Paypal only for deposit. May pay balance in cash. Title will not be transferred until all monies due are received. Used car sold "as-is" with no warranty.
