1963 E Type Series 1 XKE convertible, Numbers on Engine, Transmission, Body “Picture” Frame match ID plate. Have Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate. This car was disassembled by a shop in early 90’s then placed in storage. Car requires complete restoration. Engine turns by hand. Some newer replacement parts including: expansion tank, NOS windshield, floor panels, rear wing, lower rear wings, lower bonnet nose and door hinge were purchased in the 90's. E types are extremely collectible with the series one, open two seater (convertible) cars being the most highly prized so if you want a XKE to restore this is the one. If you are not in the know about the restoration of an E Type, you will find that most parts are readily available from many suppliers both in the US and the UK. With a few searches on the net you will find the more popular ones. Some of these companies will also do some of the refurbishing of the components like the independent suspension, engine and triple carburetor setup and transmission.
