Knight Rider - 1984 Black Trans Am I have put thousands and thousands into restoring it mechanically, my loss is your gain, many after market features. Original engine was swapped for a small block 350 from a Z28 Camaro, car sounds as mean as it looks. I had the engine yanked out and completely torn down professionally 10 months ago... every single gasket, valve, and critical part was replaced by a mechanic who is legendary in the Florida race scene. He said this is one of the cleanest engines he's seen internally, and to quote him "this is a beast, it's bad ass". I still have the receipts for all the work he did, he was the only mechanic I would let work on KITT. Some of the features: Edlebrock high performance valves, springs, and valve covers. Edlebrock intake manifold and carburetor. Brand New (4 months) K&N air filter with Edlebrock filter cover. Brand new 110 volt alternator (5 months). Brand new battery (5 months). High performance module (3 months). High performance coil (8 months). High performance plugs and wires. Large aluminum radiator, electric and manual fan system. Re-built transmission by same legendary mechanic. New tires (8 months ago, hardly driven in last 3). Dual Exhaust. Hurst shifter. Glass T-tops (seals need to be re-done). Always changed oil regularly with fully synthetic oil. The car looks great and runs incredibly, but has some dents and blemishes in paint.
