Vehicle Detail
Purchased in Seattle in 1984. I've owned the car since that time. It has always been garaged, and has been used summers only. There is NO Rust on this vehicle. It has very rarely been driven in wet conditions. Although this car has not been formally restored, it has had many new parts installed. Motor was completely overhauled and rebuilt in 1985 by an authorized Jaguar dealer. This car has only 15,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. Transmission shifts smoothly, and the overdrive works on 3rd and 4th gear. Clutch works great. Replaced these components: Brake Master Cylinder, Clutch Master Cylinder, Alternator, Radiator, all flex brake hoses, front A frame suspension bushings, ball joints, front shocks, muffler, spark plug wires, and many more. Interior of this car is in great condition, and the convertible top should be good for quite a few more years. The exterior is in fabulous shape for its age, with only 1 blemish caused by a rock chip behind the driver door. It is hardly even noticeable. Other than that the car is a real head turner. On the negative side: heater fan doesn't work, although heat still comes into the car well enough. I never fixed it because I didn't need heat in the summer anyway. It has the original AM/FM radio which works. The 8 track player does not work. This TR6 has been very well taken care of, and has served me well. It was not restored because it was in such good shape when I bought it, that it didn't need formal restoration. I think this TR6 is one of the best ones out there, and I'm ready to pass it on to a buyer who values this Triumph roadster for what it is: a classic sports car. I'm selling the car because I often spend summers overseas visiting family, so I'm not getting the use out of it I would like to. These cars are becoming very hard to find, especially in good driving condition like this one. One drive in this car with the top down on a sunny day, will convince you that there is no other ride like it!!!
