Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a very nice for it's age CJ7. It shifts in and out of 4 wheel drive easily. Automatic transmission works well with no issues. It will get up and cruise 65 down the highway without vibrations or pulling to one side. Tires are probably 50% tread. The frame has basically no rust. The floor is in very good condition. There is some rust in the body as typical with this age CJ. The worst is the panel behind the passenger side tire and next worst is the same spot on the driver side. You can see a couple of patches that have been welded on to repair some rust spots at one point. All the gauges work except the fuel gauge. Radio and speakers have some age on them but work. The driver seat at some point has been replaced and is in excellent condition. The rear and passenger seat have old seat covers on them and the vinyl under those is cracked and pretty rough condition. There is a small exhaust leak on the header, this hasn't bothered the functioning of the jeep for me so I haven't messed with repairs. There is also a broken bolt on the passenger rear u-bolt plate that the shock bolts to. This is very simple, I just haven't had time to replace. The windshield has a crack that runs verticle from top to bottom, doesn't affect drivers site so it hasn't bothered me. There is some play in the tilt stearing column, not in the stearing itself but you can grab the rear and move the column at the tilt joint up and down a couple inches. The steering itself is very tight for a jeep this age, very little play - has power steering. This would make an excellent restoration project or do like I have and just have fun cruising in it as is. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere with the way it sits today. It will be available for local pick-up or buyer arranges shipping. On Jun-14-11 at 13:15:02 PDT, seller added the following information: There was one more item I completely forgot. The window on the passenger side door only rolls down about halfway. I always take the doors off when it warms up so I didn't even think about this. I assume something is messed up in the window crank mechanism. It works good going up and down to about halfway but it won't go down any further than that.On Jun-16-11 at 05:53:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I incorrectly have this jeep shown to have a V-6. It is actually a straight 6, which you can see in the pictures. One of the reasons that I got confused on this is that this jeep has a dual exhaust. It has split headers on the straight 6. Makes it sound really cool.
