1970 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Sports Roof From The Peterson Automotive Museum Collection No Reserve!! Featuring: 351 V8, Automatic, Hide a way headlights, Factory Air conditioning (cold) Power disc brakes, Power steering and rear window defogger... On November 30, 1969 James Monk, purchased this 1970 Galaxie 500 XL Sportsroof from Bill Hanna Ford in Shreveport, LA.(see invoice) Mr. Monk lovingly owned this car until his passing in 2005. He had instructed his family that he wanted his beloved Ford donated to the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA. The car was donated to the museum as per his instructions and they cared for it for several years and then sold it at auction. This is a very nice car, it drives like a new one, goes down the road beautifully and the Factory Air conditioning works as it should. The car looks fantastic having been recently repainted in its original Wimbledon white, amazing 100% original interior in near perfect condition, this car has clearly lived a papered life. Complete documentation including original window sticker, original dealer invoice, owners manual, warranty information. A few items to note, The tires have good tread but are older and starting to crack from age, the clock is not working and the windshield wiper switch is temperamental... QuestionsContact: Pat PattonGenpat1@aol.com(818) 426-6363 On Jun-16-11 at 07:59:59 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a few questions I have received: The car runs great, no funny noises, no smoking and no leaks of any kind. It drives excelent, I would not hesitate to drive it across the country, except I would put new tires on it first, because of their age.
