Vehicle Detail

kriegel store Please note: This is the perfect car for someone who desires a frame off reconstruction but desires their own designed custom interior I have been on EBAY since 1998 with a 100 percent rating Please call with questions I describe my vehicles very accurately so you will not be disappointed My retirement hobby is to find primarily very nice Model T and Model A Fords, inspect them, make repairs where necessary and drive them checking for safety I then inspect again looking and describing imperfections so you know what you are getting. These cars are a hoot to drive your friends around in, join touring clubs and be in parades or just drive the grandkids. They build memories and when you are done with them you can resell them usually for close to what you paid ( they do fluctuate but not a steady down path like a new car) sometimes they really go up. Clubs go on tours. As an example this weekend is an overnight trip to Amish acreas for a meal and play. Clubs are full of support and great folks Go to ImageShack® to Create your own Slideshow The restorer (mechanic and cabinet maker) spent 15 years + doing a frame off reconstruction. He fortunately kept a large scrap book with original loan from the bank, receipts and pictures as he progressed. It is a wonderful piece of documentation and of course goes with the car. A priceless picture is of his wife looking at it as they brought it home, unrestored in 1982 . The frame and body were sandblasted and painted. The engine was rebuilt by Snyders and shows 55 pounds compression on all cylinders It starts and shifts wonderfully. The tires are so new there are no cracks and the manufacturing nub mold castings are still on the tires! this car has set for years covered inside storage I put in new upper and lower distributor plates (more reliable) new coil, new battery, wired the ignition put in gas, changed the oil and it fired right up. I love the thrill of hearing an engine come to life. I reset timing and it runs great like a fresh rebuilt should I have driven it about 50 miles since engine rebuild The gas tank is full and checked no leaks Gas gauge works ammeter works Tires statically balanced Your saving a lot of money as the parts are worth far more than the car An engine rebuild runs 3500-4600 dollars The tires and wheels run over 400 each so 5 are 2000 dollars 15 years of labor saved - priceless However the restorer passed away before doing the interior. The car has two temporary seats for driving around town (which we have done) You can see all the interior wood the new floor pans, door wood, new roof wood, new roof etc. All new glass. This will be a great car, a perfect car for a person who knows exactly what interior he/she wants Defects" drag link needs adjusted/repaired before delivery (this will be done) causes left front wheel wobble at speed disassembling it now to check for spring and adjustment lights and horn need new wiring harness and hooked up interior needs restored On the undercarriage, paint has begun to fleck loose from the frame and fenders Most paint remains shiny and solid undercarriage There is no grease on undercarriage or road dirt The exhaust system is new but the muffler itself has light surface rust Once I spent 2 weeks inspecting tuning it it was inspected by 2 other Model A experts they found the drag link loose and a cotter pin missing both of which will be corrected. Everything else to 3 pair of eyes looks good and correct. The car will not leave and be released until it runs smooth at 45 mph after adjusting the drag link I have the exact color code on the paint. I will buy correct paint that goes with car (the blue) paint missing along tops of door window sills and a patch on right side on the body below the right door (pictures) I have three people interested in the car locally and reserve the right to end the auction early Feel free to email me offers - I may take your offer outright There are about 60 extra pictures of the car and interior in this add as hosted slide shows. If the slide shows do not show up, try shutting down your browser and opening it again or use a different browser please Here are pictures of the interior solid wood new windows all windows work all door close solid all body pans look new Sorry for the extra engine pictures that slipped into the slide show Go to ImageShack® to Create your own Slideshow Please feel free to call before 8 PM EST with questions On Jun-09-11 at 14:30:46 PDT, seller added the following information: SAVE MONEYON SHIPPING! uShip is the first and largest auction stylemarketplace for shipping and transportationservices. This car needs an interior to be VERY nice and increase in value. Here are representative figure prices from NADA classic cars this week. Do your own checking in Hemmings and other sources.
