Vehicle Detail

This is a great cruiser, with a smooth ride and plenty of power. Suzuki branded this the VL 1500 LC with VL standing for "very long" and LC standing for "legendary classic." The bike is long--5 inches longer than a Harley Fat Boy. This bike has its original paint job, dark green metallic flake with black metallic flake, accented by gold pinstriping. Many people comment on the glitter-like feature of the factory paint---it does look good when the sun hits it. I have replaced both front and rear tires within the past 8 months and had the dealership do a rear brake job while the rear tire was off. Additionally, the recall on the fuel tank was accomplished as well in August 2009. The battery was replaced in January 2011. The bike has been garage kept and trouble-free for me since I acquired it in 2008 from another retired guy who could not see well enough to operate it any longer. The only negative the bike has is a small rock ding on the forward end (very end) of the front fender. It's smaller than a penny and I just touched it up with a dab of matching touch-up paint. No other dings or dents. Here are the particulars on this bike: Suzuki launched the VL 1500 Intruder LC as a cruiser motorcucle with a feet forward riding posture, shaft drive and engine balance shafts. After VL production ended with model year 2004, Suzuki replaced the motorcycle in this model range with the 2005 fuel-injected (but otherwise relatively unchanged) Boulevard C90, which remains currently in production. The Suzuki VL 1500 Intruder LC features a 26.7" seat height and a 3.5 gallon fuel tank underneath the saddle, both contributing to a lower center of gravity. The motorcycle's name combines VL referring to its V-Twin engine configuration, L referring to its long frame, 5 inches longer than a Harley Fat Boy, 1500 referring to the approximate metric displacement of the engine and the LC standing for Legendary Classic.
