FOR SALE: 1977 MGB ROADSTER BUILT: 2/77 FLAMINGO EXTERIOR (RED-ORANGE) BLACK INTERIOR APPROX: 65,000 MILES THIS VEHICLE IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY. HIGHEST BID, ABOVE RESERVE WINS THE VEHICLE I have owned this MG for approx. 5 years, in which time I have driven it almost every good weather day. I have only driven in the rain, when caught by surprise, and then only on a very few occasions. When the sun is shining, I can not walk past her. Over that time, I have sorted out the mechanics, and made a few changes to improve the reliability and driveability. I consider this car a solid survivor, in that the interior and exterior are original, as you will see in the photos. It is a great daily driver, with the paint and interior adequate, as such. This car would also make a great candidate for a garage queen, show car, with a bit of body work and new paint. The frame, floors, sills, trunk floor and body are in great shape, with the exception of the dog legs on both sides. The car comes with a pair of dog leg patch panels, although if I were to keep her, I would purchase both rear quarter skins, so there would be absolutely no filler needed. I have found these panels on Ebay for 249.00 each. I have listed below, what I can remember of the parts I have replaced, since purchasing the car. As you will see, there is little else you could do, but the result is a great, fun MG to drive..... CONVERSIONS: Converted the single, automatic hot-water chokeenith Carb to Twin SU-HIF carbs. Had to change inlet and exhaust maniford, and downpipe... removed Cat converter. SU dual carb heat shield, and all associated hardware. Manual Choke Converted the problematic 77 electronic ignition to a 25D, points Distributor. New rotor, cap, points, condensor and plug wires Installed heavy duty motor mounts Everything else on the vehicle is stock, except the Nardi Steering Wheel, and the CD/Radio REPLACEMENT: Slave Cylinder and Hose Brake Servo (Rebuilt) Brake Master Cylinder (Rebuilt) Brake Rotors and pads Rear Wheel Cylinders Universal joints Alternator Radiator Hoses Coil New SU Electronic Fuel Pump New Suspension Bushings Cross Member Pads Dunlap Sport Radials (4) Oil Pressure Hose The cars is in Original paint and interior, The Hardtop (see photos), is included in the sale. I also have new seat padding, and new MG oem seat covers, which I will include with the sale, if the but-it-now price is met or exceeded. I have the original top folding frame, and vinyl top, although the top material is in poor condition, the frame and headrail in good condition. Various other parts, either removed or collected along the way. This is truly an honest, solid car with no surprises.
