Rare 360 4V (E58) 1980 Aspen Police Cruiser. This car still runs and drives quite well. This Aspen was utilized by the old Kentucky Department of Justice as a driver training unit for Kentucky State Police cadets. I purchased the car from a local governmental agency. A restoration of this rare vehicle was begun by me after I obtained it over ten years ago. As can be seen from the photos, other limits to my time somewhat hindered my intended restoration. This Aspen is a full police package E58 unit with all the coolers (transmission, oil, power steering) and suspension components. Currently the original oil cooler has been removed due to some damage prior to my ownership. I have a used oil cooler that I intended to install on the car but have not as of yet. I have a used grill for the car and few other used parts for it. All will go with car upon sale. My intention was to remove the factory 360 and install a built HP 360 that I have. I have installed new Gas-A-Just HD shocks but have done nothing else to the suspension. The AC hoses, etc. have been removed but I still have them. The car has a Quadrajet 4V carburetor (from a Mopar) due to the original Thermoquad simply not working very well. As can be seen from the pictures the car has some rust but all places are very repairable. The interior has very good floors with the rubber police mat cover, the dash pad is cracked in several places, headliner is in very good shape. Somewhere in its early use a rollbar was professionally installed in the car and still remains. The engine remains very strong for its vintage and era, starts easily and runs smoothly. As far as know the mileage on the car is actual as it was never used as an on the road unit. The wheels are the original slotted 7 inch police wheels with the original hubcaps with the venting holes. This rare E58 360 4V Aspen is very restorable and simply needs the tender loving care of someone with the time to do the vehicle justice. The car is for sale locally as well as on eBay. The car must be picked up within 7 days of sale and ownership must be transferred at our local courthouse when picked up. Method of payment will be certified check or PayPal.
