Vehicle Detail
1957 Chevy 210 4dr sedan. Highland & Surf Green. Up for bid is my '57 4 door. I have owned this car for over 10 years and have a clear NC title in my name. I will try to describe the car to the best of my ability below. Keep in mind; this is not a "trailer queen", or a "show car". It is a great driver quality car that gets plenty of eyeball and runs very strong! Body- Car had the typical rust that had to be repaired. Paint is Diamont base/clear, in original colors of Highland/Surf green. Paintjob is probably close to 8 years old and a few spots have popped up here and there. Nothing major by no means! The chrome on the car is all original '57 stuff I've rounded up over the years. Not perfect, but very presentable! Engine/Transmission- Late 60's 327, .030 overbore w/ TRW pistons in 10.5:1 compression. Camel hump heads, 2.02/1.60 valves. Wolverine camshaft. Weiand Team G intake w/ 650 mechanical secondary carb. GM HEI ignition converted to use MSD guts. MSD 6A spark box. New dessert cooler radiator. Muncie M-20 close ratio "double ring" 4 speed transmission. Completely rebuilt by D.M.E in West Virginia. New shift linkage, steel bushings and new Hurst Competition Plus floor shifter,"bench seat" style. New gas tank and sending unit. Glass- All glass is the original for the car. Windshield has started "smoking" at the bottoms, bout 2 inches up. No cracks or breaks! All "whiskers", tracks, and weatherstrip has been replaced, except for the back window. Vacuum wipers work well, surprisingly. Interior- C.A.R.S reproduction upholstery in original two tone 210 green patterns. Floorpans, inside of roof has been covered with Dynomat insulation prior to installation. Inside of this car is absolutely beautiful! Dash and garnish mouldings were painted along with the car, as well as doorjambs, etc. I dont however have an original steering wheel for the car. Kinda like my "custom" Grant Ive got in her. Car has no heater in it, however, I do have a complete un restored deluxe heater that will be included. Stereo- Pioneer stereo throughout. AM/FM/CD head unit in the dash. It was already cut when I bout the car, so I just went with it. 6x9 speakers in the package tray. ABS plastic kick panels with 6" speakers in them. Stereo sounds good. Crisp and clear! Chassis- New rear leaf springs, 5 leaf. New rear shocks and all bushings. Front suspension is still the stock drums, never got around to the disc conversion. All brake hardware has been replaced with new within the last couple of years. Exhaust- Heddman 1 5/8" primary long tubes. 2 1/2" X-pipe exhaust with 2 chamber Flowmaster muffs. Race ready cutouts behind the headers to open up the exhaust. Tailpipes come back almost to the rear bumper and turn down "Mopar style". tucked up out of sight very neatly. Wheels/Tires- American Racing polished Torq thrusts in 17x7. 245/45 tires all the way around. well over 3/4 tread left! Now the fun stuff... Winning bidder is to have a non refundable deposit of $500 via Paypal to me within 48 hours of auction end to secure the car. Remaining balance to be coughed up when vehicle is picked up. Within 7 to 10 days, unless other arrangements are made thru me.Sorry folks, I cant do delivery at this time. Car does have a reserve, I refuse to let it go for a "yard sale" price. Not looking to do any trades, and tire kicking joy riders are not welcome. If you have any questions please call (828) 734-9502 Ben. Thanks for looking and God Bless!
