1965 Fastback Mustang, 2+2 V8 with a 3 speed manual. Virtually rust free. If you're looking for a great, solid Fastback restoration project - this car has tons of potential. Original owner kept meticulous books on this car- saved all receipts, old registrations, pink slip, original dealer window sticker & sales contract. Car was first sold in Scottsdale, AZ. Later moved to Lancaster, Ca - where it spent the rest of its life, in the dry desert climate. I never registered this car in my name, leaving it a 1 owner car. When I purchased this vehicle, it was a running, driving car that blew cold factory A/C. I completely disassembled this car- every nut and bolt has been bagged and tagged. All parts have been stored indoors. Interior fiberglass panels are in great condition. Floor pans are solid with only small rust spots by driver & passenger feet. Dash and engine compartment have been prepped and painted. Car is missing: front and rear bumpers, driver glass, front lower and rear valances, original gas tank, bottom half to driver's seat. This car comes with an extra hood and an extra complete 289 engine and a custom made aluminum gas tank. I will also throw in various other Mustang parts that I have. My dad has restored 3 classic Mustangs, and I have restored 1 other Fastback Mustang. I was saving this to restore and build a show car, because of its great restore-able condition and well documented history. I'm sure I'll probably live to regret this sale someday.
