Vehicle Detail

I am selling an absolutely gorgeous and stunning 1987 Porsche 928s4 One of two known to exist Pearl White 928's in the USA for model year 1987 - this one being an automatic and the other a 5-speed. One of maybe 5 or 6 in world wide production for the 928 in Perlglantz WeiB. This is called a "paint to sample" or Special wishes application of color. My research has indicated that this was a $12,000 factory option! Everything on the car is in working condition. All switches, lighting, relays, etc. are functioning at this time. Windshield washers and headlamp washers are working. Original Blaupunkt radio is working. All seats, latches, locks, etc are working. A/C is meat locker cold!! Both front and rear have been serviced and repaired with receipts. I think they could cause frostbite ;-) Car has very little signs that it is almost 25 years old! I have been a long time Porsche Fanatic and certified car nut! When I saw this car, I had to acquire it and bring it to market where it could find a proper home and be driven and enjoyed. Car is a two owner vehicle. Originally bought new in 1987 at Jim Ellis Porsche in Atlanta, GA. Well maintained and serviced. Had a timing belt and water pump done in 1992. Then it was driven very little. From my investigation the original buyer traded the car in 2007 back to Jim Ellis Porsche, after being driven very little in the preceding 10 years. Car was lovingly stored and cared for though, as evidence by near pristine condition of interior and all rubber and trim. I have seen very few 928's in this condition in my 20 years in the automotive business. The car was offered for sale by Jim Ellis, but they were not willing to invest the capital to make the car proper and ready for a new buyer. It was traded to a wholesaler and then purchased by the second buyer in the Dallas suburbs. He immediately sent the car to Nine-Eleven Enterprises and promptly spent $3300 correcting issues from lack of use. I have receipts showing service and repairs, oil changes, etc during the period of 2007 to 2010 totaling about $5300. It did suffer from some of the typical 928 malaise from lack of use, but the body and interior were nearly pristine. The second owner took exceptional car of the car, but put very few miles on it, for his investment and maintenance. He had reached a financial position that warranted the sale of the car. That is where I stepped in and acquired it. The car is just spectacular and deserving of proper ownership. A stunning example of Stuttgart's finest. As a Porsche guy, I immediately brought the car back to 100% drivability and reliability with any and all known issues addressed. They were very few, with the exception of a recent timing belt service. It could not be documented since 1992!! Having followed Rennlist for many years and knowing the needs of this car, I contacted Roger with 928SRUS near Denton Texas and conferred with him to go with a Porktensioner update. I used a NEW Laso water pump and all new drive belts and hoses. Everything I replaced looked new, but I felt it was best for this car and the new owner to have piece of mind and a proper service. *New T-Belt w/ Porktensioner Upgrade *New Laso Water Pump *New Tensioner and Pulley (s) *New Drive Belts - all *New Hoses - Radiator, upper lower and by-pass *Prior receipts for over $5300 in maintenance and repairs. Option Codes are as Follows: *9999 - Paint to sample Color Code 947 9 3 Perlglanzeffekt - 999L *C02 *018 *158 *302 *418 *490 *494 *533 *570 *650 Car is 100% working and ready in every way to my knowledge and needs nothing! Ready to be driven and enjoyed. Mileage is accurate, verifiable and like buying a time capsule, well sorted and enjoyable. If you are a "Shark" lover, then you know what these cars are and represent. They were a "clean sheet" build for Porsche. State of the art and an absolute joy for long distance high speed touring. The color and condition make this car!! It is not without minor, minor flaws. It does have one scratch on the right rear quarter, very minor and nearly impossible to fix properly with this color. One or two minor dings smaller than a shirt button. I have included any blemishes in the photos. The hoods on these cars have a history of minor misalignment due to hinge design and shock wear. I have addressed that and the lid fits squarely in the opening now - pics are prior to that fine adjustment. The car has no topside paint work. All original VIN tags and zero signs of paint on doors, fenders, hood, quarters and roof. I have 15 years in the collision industry and stand behind my trained eye and equipment. The front bumper cover has been touched-up and air brushed in a few spots due to rock chips. I believe that was done in 2007. The Pearl coating was a new process in 1987. It was not even a reliable product until Lexus made it an option on the LS series. The color has held up very well, but you will see some flip-flop from hood to fenders and lower plastic has aged differently then aluminum body. In the sun light it is near perfect and spectacular. Under the glow of a fluorescent it can look off. This 928 is like very few others. The Cayman wheels look fantastic on this body, especially in this color. Tires are nearly new with less than 2000 miles on them. The second owner installed them soon after buying the car. He traded the original wheels when making that purchase. I have yet to see a prettier more original car. I am an enthusiast, I appreciate these cars. I wish I could keep it, but alas, I am just an short term care taker. Car is priced relative to condition, rarity, mileage and completed service. Will not find but one other Pearl White in the US as an s4. I believe their is one GTS (?) Will not find another one in this color and mileage in the US offered for sale or with such low, low mileage. Will not find a more beautiful 928s4 in my opinion and many others ;-) Please contact Rob at 214-417-1416 or email carnutdallas@gmail.com $24,900 obo.......this is not your average 928, this is not one that needs service or repairs. Seriously for sale. Looking for the next caretaker. I had the car at Dallas Cars and Coffee in May and was told the car was better than I describe. One of the few nearly pristine cars left.Seriously for sale. I have had two very interested parties, saying they can and want to buy it, but no money yet. Do not miss this rare opportunity for a special Porsche. -Rob
