The Truck up for auction is ONE 1956 Ford F-100 with The Small Back Window. It retains the Original Motor, Transmission and Rear-End that it was born with. The Truck was built in San Jose, Ca. and has lived its whole life in the Los Angeles Area which is really a wonderful life for any vehicle. It is believed to have been bought new at Crenshaw Ford just West of downtown LA. There is no rust or cancer anywhere at all. It was repainted once in its life some 30 years ago and that Medium Blue Metallic paint still looks very nice and still has a shine to it. The body is near perfect with only some slight imperfections on the the tailgate. The Bumpers have been re-chromed recently but there is one small area on one of the bumpers that I noticed some chrome peeling. The interior is very Clean and Original with the Original Optional Heater. The dash is Unmolested and the Instrument Cluster is very nice and easy to read with a nice clear lens. The original motor was rebuilt 11 years ago by Engler Brothers Machine Shop in Santa Monica, Ca. They are very well known and probably as old as the truck. The speedometer reads 64,000 miles. This Truck runs really well and really cruises right along on the Hi Way plus it has plenty of grunt to climb the steepest of hills and it sips gas doing it. MOTOR: 223 Cubic Inch 6 Cylinder TRANSMISSION: 3 Speed Manual on the column REAR-END: Original Dana with 3.92 gear ratio SHOCKS: Monroe TIRES AND WHEELS: Original 15 inch rims with Trim Rings and Stock Hub Caps w/ Goodyear Wrangler 235/75 x 15 Tires. INTERIOR: Black Carpets and Bench Seat in Very Good Condition. No rips or tears anywhere. The dash is unmolested. It has all its original knobs and switches and one aftermarket Unity Heater Switch. There is an aftermarket AM/FM/CD unit as well as a gauge trio mounted under the dash. These items were installed with no damage in anyway to the underside of the dash.
