I am selling my 1963 Mercury Comet Station Wagon. It has a 250 straight six that came out of a 69 Mustang that only had 25,000 miles on it. The engine has been cleaned and freshened up with new bearings, new seals and gaskets, engine has the original 170 head on it for more power and better fuel economy. Originally the car had a 170 that had a 3 on the tree manual trans that has also been swapped to the same 69 Mustang C4 automatic. Other upgrades include aluminum radiator for V8 with built in transmission cooler, electric fan, new custom drive shaft, custom Flowmaster exhaust system, and 28,000 BTU heater. Car is in great condition, the body is clean and straight aside from two problem areas. The first is the driver side front quarter panel had been damaged and the top trim piece is missing; secondly, the front floor pans near the back of the front fender wells have rusted through. The car has its original paint and has light surface rust as expected. The interior is in fair condition, however the seats do need to be reupholstered. The missing door handle in the picture has been put back on as well as the rear window crank on the tailgate. All gauges work, the speedometer is off by about 10-15% so you aren't actually going as fast as it says you are. Other than the listed imperfections, this car is in great working order and is an efficient and reliable daily driver. This Comet was factory built with 105 HP, and it now has well over 200 HP with more torque than a 302 V8. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
