1976 CUSHMAN TRUCKSTER PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING!! CALL JEFF AT 973-222-7892 WITH QUESTIONS. Up for auction is our 1976 Cushman Truckster that is owned by my brother and me. My brothers and I are into old, classic and odd cars and we have several in our collection. We have owned this particular Cushman for the last three years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. However, it is time to let this one go and let someone else cruise it. This Cushman is in nice condition. It ran when we parked it last fall. It was stored all winter in an attached garage and when we tried to start it a few weeks ago, it would only run on starter fluid. Because it needs some TLC since it won’t stay running on its own, we are starting this auction pretty cheap with no reserve. We really do not have the time to work on it, even though it probably just needs a good carb cleaning. However, if it does not sell, we will find the time to fix it and we will be putting the reserve at twice the starting price of this auction! It’s just time to move on and get some more room in the garage. Therefore, please do not bother or insult us by sending lowball offers. We’re asking a legitimate and fair price for a nice Truckster. We understand that this is not a “Barret Jackson Auto Auction” and therefore we have no intention of retiring off this vehicle. But, with that said, we also know what this Truckster is worth. Please check my 100% positive feedback and bid with confidence. NOTE: This Truckster comes with a BILL OF SALE and a copy of the current NEW JERSEY state registration in our name. Although New Jersey is a title state, this Truckster was owned by a N.J. County Government Agency when new. It was not titled back then, only registered, and was later sold on a letter from the county indicating the same. We have a copy that we will provide of the letter from the government agency, as well as copies of all the previous N.J. owner’s registrations to prove that it was sold on Bill of Sales with registrations only and not a title. The New Jersey DMV had no issue with this when provided a copy of the letter. The Cushman is currently on Historic DMV Registration in N.J. This Truckster is properly registered as a motorcycle, as are all vehicles with 3 wheels based on Federal Motor Vehicle Classifications. However, due to conventional steering, brakes, seatbelts and safety glazing, almost all states do not require a helmet or motorcycle endorsement to operate (please check with your own DMV for verification). We owe nothing on it, and ownership transfer will happen as soon and funds are transferred. This Trucksater has been a lot of fun for us. The body and paint are in very decent condition. It has been a head turner at the local car shows. We did not restore it and this is the way we purchased it. It shows 21,437 miles on the odometer. The Truckster is equipped with the original engine. The only modification is the nicely done wood bed and very sharp polished rims. It has been garage kept since it was purchased by us and has never seen rain, snow or even spent a night outside. It comes with the manuals as pictured, nothing else is included. Although we think it would be appropriate to leave it in its current state, we guess if the new owner had a business, they could easily turn it into an ice cream truck, delivery van or advertising display. NOTE: The Cushman Truckster is located in Forked River, New Jersey and we encourage you to make an appointment to come see it. Due to the fact that it is kept approximately 100 miles at another house, it may be viewed weekends only unless other arrangements are made. The vehicle is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. By placing a bid on this Truckster you are entering into a contract to purchase the above-described vehicle. Please do not take this lightly as we will pursue any and all legal recourses we can for non-paying bidders. This is not a fire sale. We are looking for a legitimate price from a legitimate buyer.
