Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1934 Packard Model 1100 four-door sedan. The year 1934 is widely recognized as the pinnacle of design and visual beauty for the Packard Motor Car Company, and this sedan is a fine example of that claim. The car was restored some years ago, and has held up well. This handsome auto features the standard eight cylinder flathead engine with syncromesh 3-speed transmission, mechanical brakes (new cables and shoe return springs), adjustable shock absorbers, chassis lubricating system, sidemounts with hard covers, Trippe lights (not hooked up), cormorant and plain radiator caps, operating grille shutters, trunk rack, rear footrests and lap robe. The paint is not show quality, and does have a few minor scratches and imperfections but is in good condition. All the wood is in very good shape, and there is no rust on the car anywhere. The chrome is in terrific condition overall, the interior wool upholstery and woodwork is in fantastic condition! The dashboard is original and all the guages work; window glass is fine and all windows roll up and down as they should. Leather roof insert is in great shape, with no tears or leaking. The car should probably have a tune up, but I have just changed the oil. The underside of the car is as clean as the top. Car is located in St. Clair, PA, approximately 95 miles northwest of Philadelphia, and ten minutes from I-81. Buyer is responsible for pick-up and delivery of the car. I can store the car for several weeks until pick-up can be arranged. Contact me at 718-721-4802 (NY) or 570-429-0310 (PA) if you have any questions. On Jun-01-11 at 09:31:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I have included more photos of the Packard, particularly of the underbody which is clean and rust free. This car does not show the ill effects of snow and salt! The dash is in very good condition, and would only need some fine polishing in the grooves of the scored metal to make it really shine. The Oregon plate is not original to the car--I had this plate from a previous car I purchased and put it on this car because I had to drive the Packard a short piece from where I off-loaded it from the trailer to the storage location. I didn't want the police to summons me for driving without a license. The Packard does still have the original 6-volt electrical system in place.
