1984 Honda Gold Wing

1984 honda goldwing aspencade. I inherited this bike from my wifes grandfather who passed away. The mileage of 24,000 on this bike is actual, but don't let that fool you. The bike sat in a shed for thirteen years, basically junked out, untill last year when I decided to go down to grandmas and get it going again. I would rate the condition of this bike at about 5 out of a possible 10. not rusty or anything, just a little dull and shabby. Windshield is dull. The seat is coming apart at the seams a little. The backrest and arm pads are real nice. The rear latches are broke.What little chrome there is is dull. The exhaust pipes are real nice. The battery charges real nice, stator puts out enough power to run a small house. Brakes and clutch work perfect. The bike does run and drive quite nicely. It has new looking white letter tires on it and goes down the highway real quiet and smooth. It smokes a little now and then for a few seconds when you first fire it up in the morning, but only sometimes. All the digital guages work real nice, even the on board air compressor still works. One carb.still leaks a little gas into one cylinder if you don't shut off the fuel valve every time you shut off the engine. I've put about 800 miles on it since I got it running (short trips) and it seems to work just fine. I think what it really needs is to get out on the highway again and get some REAL miles put on it again. The bike is pretty complete except for the radio is missing. If your looking for a show bike, you should probably keep looking, but if you want a good daily driver that you don't have to worry about leaving out in the elements, this bike should last someone many years.
