1969 pontiac GTO.True GTO,We have owned this car for the better part of 10 years.It runs and drives Perfect.We drive it all the time in the nice weather.it has candy red paint.It is not the the original motor.We were told it was out of a 1972 gto,but it is a 400 cu.inch.It has an turbo 400 automatic trans with a hurst slap stick shift kit.It was originally a 4 speed car but was converted when we bought it.The pedal is gone,but the assembly is still up in there,and we were told that it could be converted back if we wanted to.There is no title,they are not needed in maine and new hampshire for a car this old,you will have to obtain your own if you want to title it in your state.sold as is where is with no warranty.With a bill of sale.we have been working on this car since we have owned it doing work as money would allow.We had alot of body work done ten years or so ago but it is bubbling in spots and will need some body work.trunk lid etc.(see the pics)they did not do a good job,and now they are out of busniess,but that's a whole other story.we have put an electronic ignition in it by accell,new rear bumper,all tuned up,fairly new red line 4 ply tires,the drivers rear tire has a few cracks,but we have been driving it that way for a year in a half with no issues,has a whole new exaust and it's loud.this car gets up and goes.under carriage and trunk is solid.Has a rochester 4 barrell carb.4 wheel drum mechanical brakes,so as you know with these old cars,it does not stop well,they need some adjusting now if one wants to.We had the entire front end off a year ago and starting doing some more body work and paint,but the person did not match the paint that well,but we never buffed it out,if someone does buff it, it may look fairly nice.The interior is fair,drivers seat has some tears,and rugs are ok,all in all, the interior is in fair condition.The speedometer just stopped working,and the front parking/marker lights don't work.We have driven this car on over 2 hour trips and have been in the pontiac club of maine,with no problems,it's a blast to drive.if you want to drive it father that is up to you,you can adjust the brakes just by lying on the ground and snugging up the nuts behind the wheels.This car is driver,not a show car.If you want to come by and look at it during the auction,feel free.I will take you out for a short drive in it.You can e-mail me or call us at (207)363-4909 to set up a time.I have described the car as honest and the best of my knowledge.If I have left anything out,just ask me.I have quite a few extra parts as well to go with the car.Acceptable payments are cash,bank check,certified cashiers check,and they need to clear before you take the vehicle.$500.00 deposit due at auctions end,48 hours after,then you need to contact me for pick-up,method of payment,shipping,transporting, etc.Buyer is responsible for that.Payment in full,within 7 days and car needs to be gone a week after aution ends,so please plan accordingly.We hope this car goes to a good home,and we will miss her,we have a new baby,and can't bring him in this car.No reserve auction,so happy bidding.Thanks for looking.On May-21-11 at 18:00:06 PDT, seller added the following information: One quick note:If you have zero or little feedback you need to contact me before you bid.There is no buy it now,and the pictures I have taken of the bodywork imperfections are in the photo's that are in the listing.The trunk lid,the areas around back drivers side tire and front fender and front door area,where the black gto letters are.If you are local,you should come by and see the car,it looks better in real life than the pictures I have taken.I have put one more picture of the interior in the listing,and the headliner and back seat are decent as well as the passenger seat.drivers seat has 2 tears/ripsThank you.On May-24-11 at 04:39:07 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a real GTO,Not a clone car.
