NO WRECKS WHATSOEVER. TONS OF PHOTOS HERE: http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa267/velocejoe/Datsun%20200SX%201981/ IN RESPONSE TO QUESTION BELOW: Thanks for the heads-up! I looked at the hood and in fact it has a 1983 sticker on it. The original owner had told me he just put in a new clutch and had done "lots" of other stuff, but had no receipts. Usually I don't believe anyone when they tell me this. But, he did love the car and had put alot of work into it, so I would assume that he DID/WAS upgrading it to look "better" as I like the later bumpers as well. Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask any other questions. I have finally just gotten back in touch with the original owner, so expect more details soon. Vehicle was bought new in Texas and garaged by original owner until 2009. Bought from original owner in 2009. Head Gasket, Clutch, Heater Core, Water Pump and Fuel Pump installed since 2009. Rebuilt Fuel Injectors, New Plugs, Air Filter, Fuel Filter and Wipers. In the last month. BRAND NEW carpet kit(not installed). Exterior is in excellent shape body wise. Paint has some clear peeling in places (see photos). NO WRECKS, etc. It was resprayed at some point very well, but showing age. I have the paint code and old can for reference. Looks as if the bumpers and hood were upgraded to the later style S110 200SX. No rust in floors, clean, clean, clean and solid. Car is VERY sound mechanically. Runs and drives great. NO leaks! All electrical working except gas gauge(it's the sending unit or the wiring to it), passenger mirror, heater fan and the cruise, couldn't find the harness side plug to plug it back into. It's there somewhere. Interior is not great. Sun faded and cracking. Console missing. Dash cracked. Headliner and seats in good shape! I have the original radio and tape deck (Clarion). Here are the details: ENGINE: Compression is 165, 165, 165, 170 COLD, front to back. Head gasket, Water Pump and Fuel Pump replaced since 2009. Fuel Injectors, Air Filter, Fuel Filter and Plugs just replaced. No leaks!! A little cold natured(rough idle), but once warm, idles nice. Runs great, lots of torque and plenty of pull :) TRANSMISSION: Shifts great. No issues. New clutch installed since 2009. CHASSIS: Brakes work great. Steering is awesome. Drives very nice. Underside has only surface rust. SOLID as can be! WHEELS IN AWESOME CONDITION. No road rash, etc. Road Hugger tires(195/70-14) in good shape. A little old, but not dry rotted. etc. Weatherstripping fair to good. Struts are a little soft/worn, but function as they should. ELECTRICAL: All lights working, horn, windows, etc. Cruise, passenger mirror, heater fan and gas gauge not working. Cruise just needs to be hooked up. I will try to find the plug on the harness side again. BODY: Awesome condition. A few VERY small spots of rust(see photos). Otherwise, solid and in great condition. No wrecks, etc. Paint is a respray and holding up very well with exception to some peeling of the clear in places(see photos). No evidence of any impact anywhere on this thing. Grill tabs are broken and are zip tied in. Passenger front fender has a mild dent(see photo). Driver side air dam has a bend in it. (See photo). INTERIOR: This is the only bad part. Sun faded and cracked up(see photos). Glove box cover is off, but I have it. The seats and headliner are actually pretty nice. Most of the plastic bits in the rear of the car are either gone are quite dried out. BRAND NEW carpet kit, not installed yet. Sunroof works great, comes all the way out!!! WHAT WOULD I DO: Drive and enjoy. Finish the interior restoration and you have a great vintage RARE sportscar. Or make a killer drift machine!
