NO RESERVE AUCTION I have up for auction a 1957 Chevrolet 1/2 shortbed truck this truck is very solid, the cab has NO rust and is all O.E metal the only rust is a little bit starting at the bottom of the doors and you can tell the fenders have some mud in the very bottom. The motor is a 283 with a healthy cam not sure of all the specs but it runs and sounds excellent it has electronic ignition NO POINTS ,new dual exhaust with short glass packs all the way to the back bumper the bed is in real good shape the running boards on the bed look rusted but the is just surface rust sombody had them chromed and it has peeled off. The transmission is a three speed manual on the floor and i have to say it sucks! You can drive it but its noisy and hard to get into gear sometimes. Thier is a 350 turbo in the back that i was going to install it worked fine but I was going to have it rebuilt. On the interior everything seems to work: the glove box light, the cig lighter, speedo, dash lights, aftermarket temp gauge ,the factory amp and oil gauge headlights hi and lo ,tail lights I dont have the face to the radio the seat is out of a early 90s chevy it has all the seat belt and are working , on the passanger seat i was told somebody spilled coffee so its stained.but otherwise its in good shape. The front windshield has some cracks and the wipers i cant fiqure out how to turn them on so I am not sure if they work or not.the brakes work great they are manual drum brakes but work excellent! Its also manual steering but turns pretty easy wheels are old school but are in good condition tires are dry rotted. This truck needs restored but does run and drive I personally wouldn't drive it until some one adjusts the transmission which is what I was told it needed but I had no interest in that. and tires are rotte n the motor seems real sound a very dependable. If you would like certian pics of something just e-mail me and I will repley with whatever pics you would like. Please feel free to inspect or have this truck inspected I am not trying to hide anything. IVE just got to sell it. I have a open clear Kansas Title. feel free to call, text or e-mail 1-913-285-0535 or clint55@hughes.net I work tuesday thru friday during the day so if i don't answer leave a message and I will cal you back when I get off. The truck is located in Parker, KS 66072 one hour and a half south of KansasCity 1950,1951,1952,1953,1954,1955,1956,1958,1959,1960,1961,1962,1963,1964,1965,1966,1967,1968,1969,1970,1971,1972,GMC,Blazer On May-21-11 at 10:29:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I just want to add some answers to questions that I have had The truck is 5 lug all the way around, the gas tank has been replaced it looks very new,It has a old school eldebrock intake with the oil spicket in front, It has a eldebrock 4 barrel it runs good idles good Thier is no exhaust leaks it has headers with short glass packs so it is loud in the rear. The heater is all thier and works. The bed is in excellent condition 0 rust, The insides are nice the worst dent is the size of your fist or smaller in the left rear fender and the taillights are from a 58 apachie, factory wood still thier but starting to rot and buckel, the grill is decent but chrome has some rust in the corners.bumpers are straight finish is not absoultly perfect. Doors open and shut good, windows open and close drivers side missing window crank and sombody had vise grips to roll up and down, Its runs cool about 180 and I am not sure what the fanshroud is off of and the moter looks fresh and does not leak anything The guy died that had it so I do not know all the specs onthe motor. And yes the 350 turbo in the back does go with it It worked but I would put new seals in it atleast.
